I was so excited to see this. My daughter is 5 and we’ll be going to Dollywood next year. Then I read they have to be born in 2015 or 2016. My daughter was born in 2014 but is still 5 years old. I wish they would include all 5 year olds.
Thanks so much for the feedback, Jojo. That detail has been added to the post.
I dont understand, shouldnt it be ALL children who are 5 when they apply?
Mine are 4(Nov 2014)
3(Nov 2015)
2(July 2017)
7mo(March 2019)
I dont see why my 1st wouldnt qualify as would my 2nd as my 4yo is in pre-K currently
My grandson is just now turning 5 and was born 2014. He will be 5 for most of their season🙁
I agree my granddaughter just turned 5 October 16th. She will be 5 most of the season. I don’t understand why they could not be included.
I thought the exact same thing! My little boy is 5 also but born in 2014.
They should include all 5 year olds!! My granddaughter is 5 and I have bought season passes for several years. Should include ALL 5 year olds. She hasn’t started school yet. Will start next year.
Well….I have the same issue….he was born in 2014 but he will be 5 for more than half the season.
My twins are born in 2014 too and still 4 this month.. totally weird that they can’t be included considering they’re in the “pre-K” year and still 4 when the promo starts.
This is awesome!!! We live 2 hours from dollywokd and go quite a bit!!
Any tips on when to go & deals? My kids are not prek but I’d love to visit sometime. I tried looking online & it seems like certain rides close down in colder weather. What is a good time to go? Would Nov mean closed rides? I’d love any tips!
November should be ok. The rides only close when the weather that day is outside their operating specs. I am pretty sure problematic temperatures are freezing or below, and November temps will likely be in the 50s. Make sure you check the calendar though, they are closed part of November.
We have been in the middle of December and all rides except the 2 water rides are open. We have also been there when it rains and rides are open except for a couple.
So it’s not 4 and 5 yr olds as advertised wish they had worded it different I got all excited👎🏼
Mine turns 5 on 11/4. What a ripoff!
My grandson turns 4 in March 2020 (he was born in 2016), would he qualify?
Yes as long as he was born in 2015 or 2016!
I agree, sounds great, but my son turned 5 in August but was born in 2014. Seems like the post should say kids born in 2015 and 2016 instead of 4 and 5 yr olds.
My kid will be 5 on 11/5 and was born in 2014. This will be my 3rd season pass year and he should qualify for being 5 and in pre-k for all but 2 months of 2020. This is false advertisement if they don’t allow 5 year olds to be included.
Grandaughter born 11-17-14 and will be 5 this year. She should be included as she is also pre-K
Agreed based on these years it’s more for 3 and 4 year olds. My daughter was born in Sept 2014 and just turned 5 because of the K cut off was not old enough to go to K. She will be in PreK for the majority of this seasonal pass. Seems like they didn’t think the ages/years completely through. Grateful they are helping those four year olds though!
My almost 3 yr old was born on the last day of 2016 would he qualify for this since he was born in 2016??
would also love to know as my daughter will be 4 on 12/22?
My grandson was born in December 2014. He will just be turning 5 in December 2019 just a few days before Christmas. This seems contradictory if it is for 4 & 5 year olds. What is the deal having to be born in 2015 and 2016??? Apparently someone doesn’t understand if a child is born in November and December 2014 that makes them only 5 years old for the whole year of 2020 until their next birthday!!!!!!
They should include all 5 year olds!! My granddaughter is 5 and I have bought season passes for several years. Should include ALL 5 year olds. She hasn’t started school yet. Will start next year.
It’s their park. They set the rules. They will still be helping several kids who match their criteria to enjoy some fun times. Thanks Dollywood.
I went on to register my daughter, but now it looks like you can’t until November 4th? Am I overlooking something? Thanks so much for your help and for posting this awesome deal!
You’re right! Thanks so much for pointing that out! The post has been updated!
I have a grand daughter that was born in May Of 2014 is she eligible for this deal
I am having issues registering my daughter… Anyone else having difficulties? I also tried from a laptop as well as my phone.
So sorry for any confusion. It looks like this does not begin until November 4th. We have updated the post!
On FB it shows that the registration begins today but as far as I can tell there is no place to register. It does show a starting date of 11/4. Is that when registration begins?
Yes, It looks like they have pushed the date back a bit to November 4th. Hope that helps!
My son doesn’t turn 5 til December. He is in preschool. But he was born in 2014. So he isn’t eligible. Huge bummer.
This makes no sense – My 4 year old is turning 5 on 11/28 and doesn’t qualify because he was born in 2014. He is in Pre-K – why would they have these stipulations when someone born in 2014 is still 4-5 years old?
My granddaughter has already turned 5 but little brother can go. I am very happy other kids get to go.
My son was born December 2014. He misses the cut off by 7 days! I wish he could have received a free season pass to Dollywood. Would’ve been great. Warning Not all 5 year olds are included.
Dollywood should rename the program! My daughter is literally in pre-k but has a late 2014 birthday, making her ineligible for the pre-k pass.
I registered my daughter, who was born in 2015, just a few minutes ago. Thanks so much for sharing this! I built a family vacation for us around this for next summer.
September-December 2014 birthdays are also included. You will need to call customer service to register and they will mail you a form to complete. You will need to show form and birth certificate to get the pass.
Thanks for sharing this with us!
