I purchased a Samsung refrigerator four months ago and it went out
Samsung gave me the rum around and did not want to honor the warranty. No more Samsung products for me ever.

My samsung fridge died after 4 years, took months of fighting them to get a refund. Will never by samsung again.

Adrienne, if you utilized a charge card, take it up with them. Our charge card has an amazing support for issues like this. People often forget that when you charge things (normally… as I don’t know all the benefits of each and every credit card), you have additional rights and warranty coverage.

Same! Ours lasted longer than 4 months, but it has been one problem after another with our stupid Samsung fridge. Astounding that they would design and manufacture something and get everything so wrong. We will NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances again. I teach high school and tell my students that the one life lesson I want to impart to them is to never buy Samsung appliances lol

I am not sure if this is just how they design fridges now but we had a lot of problems with our Kenmore. It was “fixed” so many times in warranty then when out of warranty we paid way to much to fix. We could have just bought a new one… Any fridge brand recommendations?

I’d highly recommend LG. We’ve had our LG refrigerator for 11 years and not one issue. Recently we had to buy a new LG washer and dryer as we needed a part for our washer and it isn’t made anymore being it was 11 years old. But I would recommend LG to everyone.
Another Appliance tip don’t ever buy Electrolux. We have had nothing but issues with our dishwasher and stove and the microwave went out after 2 years.

Thanks Lisa. I will call tomorrow to check it out. Samsung is the worse.

  3. Ashley

We had a lot of problems with a Samsung fridge too. However we have a Samsung stove and microwave and they are both great. Supposedly, they were new to appliances 5 years ago and are better now.

Spend a little more and buy Speed Queen! Absolutely trouble free for 6 years now. Samsung is nothing but trouble.

    • Wren

That’s what I want, is Speed Queen! 🤩

  5. Missy

My experience is with Samsung is also horrible. I won’t buy another of their appliances! Speed Queen all the way!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Thanks so much for the feedback, Missy.

While we don’t have this set, our Samsung washer and dryer are horrible. We’ve had them for 3 years and have had to repair each of them multiple times.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer. That does sound frustrating. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us!

Same here, total trap washer and dryer. Fixed under the exploding recall but complete junk from go. Dryer died after 3 years! Hopefully they are trying to make their products better. I have had good luck with their TV’s.

I had a Samsung refrigerator a couple years back. It stopped working about a year after I purchased it. Samsung took about 3 months before they finally honored my warranty. Then they sent a letter stating they longer made the refrigerator part so they gave me a voucher to purchase another one. Which isn’t bad but the time it took them to reach this conclusion was way too long. I also have a washer that went out one year after purchasing it. The washer had stopped draining. I contacted customer service and it took them a month to send a repair company out. When they finally came out I had to wait another week for the part to come in then a couple more days before they would come back out to actually fix it. Long story short my washer still doesn’t work and I’m out 300 dollars for repair cost because the warranty didn’t cover this repair. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I will never buy another washer or refrigerator from this company.

So (because all sentences now start with the word “so”), I heard from people who live in South Korea how almost everything there is a Samsung product. People there love their Samsung fridge, Samsung washer/dryer, Samsung stove, Samsung cars, etc. If South Koreans love everything Samsung, does that mean the Samsung products in the U.S. are lower of quality than what is sold in South Korea?

Currently shopping to replace my Samsung washer that just doesn’t get clothes very clean… have had it all of 3 years 🙁

  11. Rosanne

A little late, but I do have this set. I absolutely hate them! The washer vibrates and moves like crazy and everything is sticky, stiff, and wrinkly after the wash. Actually, everything out of the dryer is wrinkly. So mad that we chose this set, but we had a flood and I thought I was upgrading. Yes, I have tried less soap, fabric softener, and securing the washer. No luck. Still frustrating.
