I received mine as a gift, but I would replace it in a heartbeat if something ever happened to it. I have extremely thick, curly hair. Normally to straighten my hair, it would take me about an hour, then I would have to work it with a curling iron. With the Dyson, I’m down to about 20 minutes, and I don’t have to use my curling iron at all unless I want to actually curl my hair. It does take a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, no issues.
My husband bought this for me last Christmas and I wanted to hate it because of the price, but I LOVE it. It cuts my drying time down by a landslide. I have extremely thick and long hair.
I absolutely LOVE mine. I don’t splurge very often for myself but this was something I bought. If you have thick hair this is worth every penny.

I have had mine for 2 or 3 years and absolutely love it! With three girls with extremely thick hair in our house it has seriously cut down on time spent drying hair and our hairdresser has noticed and commented on how much healthier and less heat-damaged our hair is now. It was absolutely worth the investment. I purchased it during a 20% coupon time at Ulta along with it being on sale and used a ton of Ulta reward points
I have one and love it as well! I can definitely tell a difference between my Dyson and my Chi hairdryer. If mine died, I would have no problems going and buying a new one.
I have it. I have thick thick hair. It does NOT make a difference for me.
I returned mine. I, too, have super thick hair and there was no difference, although the Dyson was heavier to hold and the big cord was hard to manage. I am still searching for a dryer that can cut my dry time. I would happily pay over $400 for that!
I was gifted one a few years ago and I would absolutely replace it if anything ever happened to it. I have thick, curly hair that holds water and would spend over an hour drying my hair. This dryer cut my drying time down to around 20 minutes.
I got mine on eBay yesterday. It is from official Dyson store (very important to check that) and it is refurbished. It cost me $220 plus tax because eBay has a discount coupon too. It comes with 1 year warranty but you can’t return it like you could in Best Buy. Still, I save so much that I will risk it.
