I love that this is available now, my son has already been binge watching Mickey since they took it off on demand for xfinity.

  2. bjwebster

We already have an unlimited account with Verizon, so I just signed up for a free year. I had just been thinking that I should try find a free trial since we’re home from school on a snow day. A free year is awesome! Thanks!

  3. cooki carz

I wonder if this applies if you are about to change to an unlimited plan. I had planned on adding a service for my daughter and changing to unlimited for Christmas.

    • sassafrassa

It does say if you upgrade to unlimited you are eligible 😊

    • ecroston

We watched The Mandalorian around 8pm EST thru hubby’s PS4 and it worked fairly well. There were a couple times when it skipped but that was it.

  4. kayti

Don’t get too excited, it doesn’t work. Too many people on it and it’s crashing

    • Joe

Try different devices and be patient, I wasn’t able to log in on the PS4 app, but I was able to log in and start watching on the Xbox one app immediately.

      • kayti

Tried my phone, computer, firestick, smart TV, and through Chromecast…. Nada

        • bjwebster

It didn’t work on my Fire stick at first, but now we’re watching a movie (knock on wood).

    • lezers05

I keep getting error messages with every show we try…

    • CW

We have one of the two supported TVs (newer Samsung, other is LG) and it’s worked fine since day 1. My husband streams it through his computer too, when not home and it’s worked as well.

  5. mhoundy

Thank you! Worked perfect for me!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Woohoo! You’re so welcome!

  6. Janice

    Thank you!! It worked great!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome, Janice!

  7. harrison23

This doesn’t work for Verizon Business accounts. 🙁

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the feedback. It appears to be valid for select accounts only.

  8. Kellie

I really would love to have Diseny+ free for a year, but im a non-Verizon wireless customer. I have Boost Moblie

  9. Nikki

I’m confused on how to watch it? My living room tv doesn’t have a Disney app. Even when I went to the App Store there isn’t a Disney one. On my amazon Tv there is no Disney app either! Can someone help.

    • Nikki

I have Vizio tv maybe that not compatible

    • Mel

On the apps page, we had a banner at the top of the page that I clicked on. Search for it, it should be there. Ours is a Samsung smart tv

    • njustice

On my fire stick I searched the apps for it by typing it in the search bar. Some shows work some don’t. My kids are watching toy story 2 right now but a lot of them wouldn’t come up.

    • gatorgirl772

From what I’ve read , and my BFF told me since she was sad because she has all Amazon products except her phone, Disney+ isn’t available for any Amazon products. Only Apple, Roku, Google, Sony, & Microsoft. 🙁

      • gatorgirl772

Just went and read that at the last minute they added it to fire stick…yay! Sorry for the misinformation.

        • Maria

It’s on Roku. That’s what I have and it’s working

          • Maria

Oh sorry, I misread your comment.

    • Kat9919

I think the Disney+ app is only available for Apple products. And if anyone has an older Apple TV, you cannot downloaded the app, but you can stream free to your older Apple TV through a newer device. The Disney+ app isn’t available for fire tablets or non Apple products so it wouldn’t be available for any amazon products 🙁

      • ecroston

You’re misinformed or you’re thinking about the new Apple streaming service. Disney+ works on almost anything – I added it to the Roku and a PS4.

    • Mik

I signed up from my phone. And download the app on Roku TV to watch on my living room tv. It’s working fine.

    • CW

      Hi Nikki
The only supported TVs right now are newer Samsung and LG TVs. Samsung dropped their app at noon last Tuesday, I’m not sure about LG. Vizio or any other brand besides Samsung/LG does not have the app. And those TVs must be newer. We’ve got a series 6 Samsung we bought about a year ago.

  10. Mik

I just subscribed it! My son AND husband (He loves Marvel and Star Wars) are so excited. Thank you!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear that, Mik! You’re very welcome!

  11. Yvonne

    THANK YOU! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are SO welcome!

  12. gatorgirl772

Thank you!! Added the Verizon offer to my D23 3 year plan we bought so I’ve got 4 years of Disney+, YAY!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      NICE! You’re very welcome! Enjoy!

      • Jennaayyv

Did your billing date change from Nov 2022 to Nov 2023? Mine still says I have to pay on Nov 2022, and the Verizon offer says is active. Is that normal?

        • Steph

Wondering the same thing….that is what my account says also.

  13. cooki carz

Its definitely on the firestick. Just downloaded the app. And I have a Vizio Samsung and Sony TV. They show on all of them.

  14. davesmisc

This also works if you have the 55+ plan from Verizon. Just signed up for free year this morning. 4 simultaneous streams per account so you can share it on different devices. Nice.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful comment!

    • ScrapGal

Hubby and I are over 55 so I looked into this plan. Unfortunately for us it’s only available in FL.

  15. Mandy

If you have a Vizio Smartcast TV, it won’t work. Apparently Disney+ requires at least version 1.36 of Chromecast and Vizio is currently at 1.34, and Vizio has no plans to update.

    • beth

Ug, that must be why I can’t cast to my Toshiba Chromecast tv. 😑

    • Cw

The only currently supported TVs are newer Samsung and LG TVs

      • PH

It works on my TCL brand t.v. that is loaded with ROKU

  16. beth

Not working for us on any of our devices. Hoping they improve over the next couple days or I might cancel. 😬

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! I sure hope it works better for you real soon!

  17. hellfiregainz

I signed up for the one week trial. It is worth paying the $6.99 a month instead of upgrading and paying more for unlimited.

  18. shop4mybabies

I’m so excited for this year of freebie…i was definitely going to splurge for this anyway!

  19. Gisette

Woo hoo! Thanks for posting this as I had no idea. 😀

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome, Gisette!

  20. Silva

I wanted to drop a warning that Netflix is planning to aging out of many Roku and Samsung devices by December. It has already started on some of the older devices. “Last week, multiple outlets reported that select Roku devices, as well as older Samsung or Vizio TVs, would soon lose support for Netflix beginning in December. In a note on its support page, Netflix said that affected users would begin seeing error messages about the changes. That same note—one that seems rather vague considering a total disappearance of its service from user devices—blamed unspecified “technical limitations.”

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh wow! Thanks for the warning, Silva!

  21. angie

Love Disney + already! All Star Wars movies and new Lady and the Tramp!

  22. chrissy

Awesome!!! Thank you for this!! We got signed up and everything went smoothly.

  23. Marie

Thanks! This is a fun consolation prize for my giant cell phone bill!

  24. connie

I was able to get this on my Roku, my Android and was able to download to my daughter’s Fire tablet!

  25. Alyson

Thank you so much! Everyone in my house is over the moon to have this!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Aww, Glad to hear what a hit it is already! You’re so welcome!

  26. Amber

We downloaded the app to our Xbox and it works just fine. My kids and I were screaming at all the fun stuff we found 🙂 Boy Meets World for those of you from the 90’s!! 🙂

  27. molly

Verizon was the WORST for our family until recently–we were able to sign up for a 55+ plan (my mom is on our family plan), which saved us big AND got us upgraded to unlimited data… and now we get Disney+ for a year! If you have a senior citizen on your plan, maybe they’ll help you qualify for this as well.

    • curious

Can you explain what a 55+ plan is, I’m a little confused about that, my mother in law is on our plan and she is 69?

      • molly

Seniors qualify for a reduced rate. We’re currently paying something like $110 for 3 lines of unlimited data (pre-tax, autopay required). We were paying more and we didn’t have unlimited data prior to joining the 55+ plan. We only knew about it because my mom got a text informing her of her eligibility. Give them a call to see if you qualify!

  28. mamasweetpea

Just wanted people to be aware that there is recent news of Disney plus being hacked into and some accounts have been sold on the dark web. quick online search should bring up various news about it from today.

  29. jen13289

How do we know if our account has been hacked?!?!? Has anyone else seen this?!?!

  30. Laura P

question, pls advise, got Disney+ 7 day trial, and then service on our Roku, THEN learned we qualified for a free year on our VERIZON unlimited plan, logged into Verizon, took advantage of free year, then logged in to ROKU and cancelled our current subscription, that we are paying for. Says we are not cancelled thru ROKU until Jan 26. HOW do I then still watch through ROKU but the subscription I just got from Verizon, do I have to reregister a new account, or will my current account on Disney still work. Does this make sense what I’m asking?

  31. Cherie

Verizon sends me through to sign up, but it only shows 7-day trial or buy now option… anyone know if this is the correct way to sign-up for the promotion? Thanks
