Any feedback on this laptop? I wanted an Apple laptop but they are so overpriced.

I have not used this chromebook myself, but there is an excellent review On Target’s site comparing it to Apple.

I love my Acer touchscreen Chromebook. I love the quick boot up, the google drive and document/spreadsheet functions. I love that they are essentially their own antivirus, and although there is no disc drive I have never really missed that with everything internet based. BUT with that said, I will likely not be buying one again. I am on my 3rd Chromebook in the past 8-9 years. About every 2-3 years I started having problems with the screens glitching really bad, and my current one shuts down unexpectedly (multiple times per day) even if fully charged. I am also getting a warning that my operating system will no longer support any updates. When speaking with BestBuy looking into a new laptop, he did not seem surprised, and said Chromebooks and their operating systems are not meant to last more than a few years.

Does it have the normal windows excel and word? Or is everything based online?

As far as I know you can’t put Microsoft Word or Excel on it. Has it’s own very similar chrome programs. “Google Docs” instead of Word, etc. Pro: you can access your google docs/spreadsheets by logging into your google drive from any computer/smartphone.
