Meg, The model I have also dehydrates. We make a lot of beef jerky in my house, so I really wanted the dehydrate function. As for the air fryer, we love it! We fry chicken, tomatoes and fries on a regular basis. That said, I’ve never had an air fryer before so I can’t compare it to another brand, but we really love it. Ninja Foodi products have several facebook pages with all kinds of tips and recipes, you might want to check there, I feel like others have compared them to other products in the past.
