This type of thing never works for me. I have never bought one of these. I spend thousands on Amazon and have had prime for a gazillion years. I just never understand their reasoning for choosing some accounts and not others.

I called amazon, to ask how one becomes eligible for this deal. And they told they do NOT offer this promo code. And could not help me in any way. And told me I have to take this up with the website stating this code is available, that they will be able to help me proceed. So I’m just wondering, if amazon isn’t supplying the promo code? Where and who created it?

I got the code, but a couple friends I mentioned it to did not get a code or the offer. I happened to see it on the top banner of the website by chance when I logged on to shop for something else. I definitely have no idea how I got so lucky!

My dad is disabled and uses his Alexa to call and communicate with people given that he can’t move on his own. This would be SO helpful to help him control his TV without a remote.

This would only be able to kill power to the tv, it wouldn’t even be able to turn it on. You’d be better off with an Amazon fire edition tv or a fire stick in the back of a tv with an ArcHdmi port (most modern tvs have at least 1 arc-enabled port). EIther of those *should* allow him to control the tv with Alexa. I say should because I am a Google Chrome user myself, so have not specifically done this with Alexa. It can be done with Chrome, so I have to assume Alexa has the same type of functionality.

If it doesn’t work for you, maybe your account has to have an Echo device attached? I do but I wasn’t sent a link or anything. A co-worker told me about it the website.

Jan 7, 2020. I tried to buy multiples. Anyone know the limit? Back in Mid December 2019, I ordered one unit three times successfully. Any logic? Any workarounds? i.e. someone else that has not bought any? or using a different amazon account with a different credit card?
