As others mentioned above, the reviews at Macys before made me hesitant to buy it (feathers come out quickly). I like to wash my jackets too, so I assume that would only make it worse. It is very cute though and might be worth it for that price!
I have this from Macy’s. This is my 3rd winter with it in NJ. I have not lost a lot of feathers but I find it’s only warm enough for about 45 degrees. Anything colder and I’m freezing. I actually bought a similar Eddie Bauer jacket for $40 at Costco (also saw on this site) and the Eddie Bauer is thicker and way warmer. I’m comfortable at 30 degrees long enough to stand at the bus stop or take the dog for a walk. Haha! Then I’m back inside!
Looses feathers and DO NOT any long sleet black shirts underneath it because when you take it off the shirt will be covered with tiny little small feathers!

Does this jacket have a two-way zipper so that you can zip it up a little bit and have it not be so tight around the legs?
I went through all the specs and videos and it does not have the zipper from the bottom as well, beth.
Any other substitutes recommended at a slightly higher price point but without the down/1-way zip issues?

I bought 2 of these jacket at Christmas, but as stated by others the feathers come out and if you wear any dark color they are all over. Returned both. Liked that pot was thin but hopefully would keep you warm but the feathers were all over the place.

Oregon here too. I have been getting larger-sized, lightweight waterproof jackets that can either tie in at the waist if it is warmer out or fit over a puffer-type coat if it is cold out. My favorite of the 15 rain jackets I tried on is the Columbia splash a little. I need a new puffer layer though and have been on the hunt. I do the two pieces thing because it is easiest for travel and for having oregon coast options all year round.
