which one do you like– roku or fire stick?

We got a Roku for Christmas. I am still finding new channels to watch.

Can’t go wrong with either. But FS remote can control volume on TV, sound bar, etc. But only top line Roku can (not this one). And sure voice controls, Alexa, etc are better with FS.

I have both in the house. My son likes the Firestick because it has a gaming app not available on the Roku. I have the Roku on my bedroom TV so I could watch Comcast/Xfinity and get rid of a box and equipment fees. If you need the Comcast app it is only available on the Roku. So check out the apps you want and buy accordingly. Also make sure you get a good WIFI signal wherever the TV is . Both are great.

If you have Comcast you can download the beta streaming app and get rid of extra boxes that you have. (You still have to keep the main one) but this can add up to huge savings! It acts just like a cable box 🙂

@Jules. This is exactly what I have done. I’ve already returned one box and replaced it with the Roku. Going to jump on this deal to replace the second box. Anything to help combat Xfinity/Comcast exorbitant, ever increasing rates until my contract ends and I cut the cable cord! And thanks to Hip2Save for this deal!

We have this same one, and it has so many issues which apparently are pretty common. It constantly has to be reset – which is annoying! We love having one in our bedroom to watch Netflix & amazon prime, but the constant reset thing drives me batty!

I have it and zip problems. Do you have a good WIFI signal where the TV is? Do you have the stick plugged in and powering off an electrical socket or is it powering off of the port on the TV itself? Usually those are the issues.
