Family travel can be relaxing! 🧳🏖☺

Taking kiddos on vacation can make parents feel like they’re working overtime to keep everyone happy. It wouldn’t be a family vacation without the kids, but being a parent means being on duty and hyper-vigilant 24/7, especially when you’re all away from home. That’s not exactly rest and relaxation, is it?

  2. Kruiz528

Yeah I wouldnā€™t trust a stranger to watch my kids. Donā€™t care if theyā€™ve got 100 certifications

    • Annie

      You are right

    • EmilyMab

Every nanny is a stranger the first time lol. If they’re only helping out, you’ll be there the whole time anyway.

      • Amanda

Lol this is such a good point! Thank You for saying something šŸ™‚

    • Sharon

That’s exactly what I think. Could be a nun and I still wouldn’t leave my girls with a stranger.

      • Kate G.

Everyone is a stranger at first. Nanny’s, daycare providers, friends… all start as strangers šŸ™‚

        • Melissa

This has nothing to do with race. You are making an assumption that people who wonā€™t leave their children with strangers are racist. That is very judgmental and presumptuous. You donā€™t even know the people you are criticizing for not being willing to turn their most precious ā€œpossessionā€ for which they have ultimate responsibility to someone they donā€™t even know. I wouldnā€™t leave my child with anyone I donā€™t know. Period!

        • Amber

Oh dear. The only person in all the comments of “I could never leave my child with a stranger’ who mentioned race is YOU. You’re entitled to hold whatever opinion you’d like, but please don’t self-project your bigotry onto others.

    • TaaeJ

I have 2 kids and thankfully we have never had to use babysitters or daycare because my in laws are awesome!! This world is too scary to trust anyone with them, no matter their religion, sex or race.

      • Kate G.

Some day I would assume they will go to school?

  3. Rasha

    This is an awesome deal!!!!!

    Yes I am parinoied tyvm

    • Melissa

I agree. What legal rights would you have there? I seriously doubt any.

    • Blessed

Yes, you never know these days you can’t just trust anyone with your kids.

    • nita

      Iā€™m with you Kate.

    • Amber

Yes! Lifetime movie is written all over this scenario.

    • Michele B.

Iā€™m paranoid too. I just couldnā€™t do it!

    • nurselex

Same here! Not worth the risk. Our world is a scary sad place sometimes..

    • Ap927

      Agree.

    • Amber

Yes. What does race have to do with pawning your kid off on a complete stranger in a foreign land? Its 2020, let’s raise the bar a little.

  5. nita

From what I understand from a friend I have from here, thereā€™s A lot of crime, and tourists from America are the main targets, Ofcourse.

  6. Stephanie Wu

    Sounds AMAZING to me…..OMG!

  7. michelelee086

IMO … I would Take a relative on vacation and let them be the nanny šŸ˜‰

    • Amy

Sure they would love that …

  8. B.C.

I would ask do I have to use the nanny bc I have 2 teens who can watch their youngest sibling. Iā€™ll take the rest of the package!

    • Amy F

When I went, you didnā€™t have to use the nanny, but the service was included for every room – when she wasnā€™t watching the kids, she was cleaning your room, restocking drinks/snacks/towels in the room, and helping book services, excursions, etc, kind of like a concierge. It was awesome!!! Still friends with our nanny on FB, and itā€™s been over 4 years since we were there!

  9. Wendy Van Hees

Most of the children friendly all inclusive resorts there have nannies available. They do not stay in your room with you and are and “option” . You do not have to use the service if you dont want to. However I can attest to the fact that the all inclusive resorts are very friendly and the employees work very hard for you and your family while you are there. I should also mention as of our last visit 5 years ago, Marijuana has been legalized and is very prominent throughout the island, with many of its tourist there for medical tourism

  10. keishava

Iā€™d like to know if we do more than 3 days, whatā€™s the extra cost?

    • keishava

      Never mind…reading is fundamental lol

I went to this resort 4 years ago when my daughter was almost two… it was AMAZING!!! Itā€™s a small and very secure resort, and you definitely know where your kids are at all times, as all the nannies work together and do organized activities with the kids. It was honestly the only time since having kids that my husband and I felt like we were on ā€œvacation.ā€ Spent most of the day with our daughter AND the nanny, and instead of having to trek back to the room for diaper changes, snacks, naps, baths, etc, the nanny would do it all and we could just stay at the pool/beach. I honestly donā€™t think I had to do a bath or put sunscreen on my kid the whole time šŸ™‚ Also met some great families there that I still keep in touch with today! Was literally paradise for any mom/parents of young kids. By no means the fanciest resort, but the rooms were comfortable and huge (and separate from the kids), kind of like a condo, and the food, drinks, and staff were top-notch! Might have to plan another trip with such great rates!!!

Well, maybe it’s because I had kids late in life but I LOVE being with my kids, age 9 and 11. The idea of leaving them with a nanny is crazy to me (and possibly dangerous). I don’t even have a babysitter for a date night with my husband and we never have. We all love being together and miss each other when we are apart. When my kids are at school that is my “me time”. My idea of a vacation is to spend time with my kids, not without my kids. I am enjoying these precious moments of watching them grow up and I’m not trying to avoid my kids so I can go get a massage, eat out, or whatever. My husband and I feel the same way about this.

    • Amy

Yes, and Iā€™m sure your children really love being watched and doted on 24/7…

      • Mary

Yes, they really do! We are very close. My daughter calls me her “BMF”= best mom friend. It’s so sweet. We all love being together. I don’t judge how other families choose to spend their time but this is just how we are so this deal isn’t for us. Hope you all who have different family dynamics enjoy it though.

        • Aj

Mary, it sounds like youā€™re a sweet mom and I think a lot of women can learn from you and your attitude towards your children šŸ˜Š

        • Amy

Then why comment? It just seems like you are bragging.

  13. subtextology

Okay Iā€™m a SAHM with no family close. The family I do have has stated they will not watch two kids at the same time (I have two). The friends I have here just have their families watch their kids. I canā€™t even imagine a date night with my husband much less a getaway with a nanny! Only in my dreams!!! I think it would be great as just an extra set of hands and eyes since I canā€™t go 3 minutes without a ā€œmom look at this, I need a snack, play this, when are we doing this, etcā€.

  14. youhadmeatyummy

The Madeline McCann case comes to mind. They were at a resort exactly like this.

    • Aj

      Exactly what I thought
