  2. Clippy

So basically $389 for an iPhone 6s and 6mos Cricket service.

Check Apple for refurbished iPhone same warranty as new

The 6’s aren’t going to be supported beyond ios13. The current operating system is the last one that will support the 6s so when it gets upgraded, no more updates will be available. Kind of a waste to get one now.

That’s pure speculation and the consensus seems to indicate it should last through ios 14 if history is to be your barometer. Rumor has it that any iphone that can currently run ios 13 will be able to run ios 14 including the 6s and SE.
I paid $75 for a new 6S last year and $20 a month for unlimited calls/text and 1GB data that rolls over though your mileage may vary. As a hardware person, I am generally not a MAC fan but I have nothing bad to say about the 6S.

I had one for three years. It was a nice phone but the battery life is terrible compared to the Xr I have now and face recognition is a real game changer. I encourage you to move on up!

Avoid the 7. Not all have issues but definitely enough to pick another phone. Thousands of people online reporting audio chip defect which will pretty much render the phone useless. We had 3 7s that had this defect and it was a fight to get Apple to make it right.

I’ve had 2 iPhone 7 and the battery was terrible on both

Just saved our money up and bought 2 new IPhone XR and we are very happy. We never finance anything.

I have a perfectly good iPhone 8 Plus now, and I would absolutely not go back to a 6 or 7. My main reason is that they aren’t going to update or be supported. Also, we had tons of battery issues when we had our 6’s. Phones that old should be beyond free 🤪

    • Tiny

Do u kno if the iPhone se will continue to receive updates

My husband, myself and 2 teens have iPhone 7. Adults have had no problems. Both boys needed their phones replaced. We bought them 7’s again and so far so good.

Why would any one want a 6? Apple doesn’t update software anymore.

Though not quite as cheap as those above – Boost Mobile sells unlocked phones – (iPhones) cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere! I’ve purchased 4 over the past few years. Right now you can buy a new iPhone 7 for $199 and a 7s for $299 (and an 8 for $349). I also use the boost service (unlimited with hot spot for $30/line with no commitment/contract) for myself and my teenage son and I would totally recommend it! Never had a problem! Worth checking out! I have always easily done everything online, too! (Very convenient! But I see stores around, too, if that is more your jam 😉 )

      Thanks for the tip, MJ!

And I’m over here with my IPhone 5!🤣 🤣 Hey why get a new one if it ain’t broke?! I have never broken a phone and only reason I upgrade is if it crashes and I still try to fix it!!

Think of the cost of the service over the next year… $60*12 months= $720. It is A LOT. There are providers, like Mint or Tell where you can go as low as 10-$15 per month for unlimited talk and text and decent data. The savings would be enough for a no-commitment phone.
