I Love these cameras! Affordable and I’m able to check on my kids at work.
We have this camera and we positioned it in a window looking out over the front porch and driveway. Much cheaper than ring camera and just as good video and picture quality. Detects motion and sends an alert to the WYZE app on our phones
Super smart idea, Lor! Thanks for sharing!
I loved these at first. I have three of them. However, they had a security breach and then told us all in email that our personal info wasn’t compromised. It was, and I have a fraud problem now. I also noticed during the breach, before they told us, that my cameras were moved throughout the day when no one was home. I thought it was an auto update to the software but it was not. Someone hacked them. Be very careful with Wyze.
I have two of the Wyze cameras, not this model. I recently changed my WiFi password and now, I not able to connect. Mines are not compatible with 5G. When putting in the password, system seems to be compromised. I am a skeptic, so I worry.
You have to update the wifi password through the app then. It is still trying to use your old password. The 2 wifi cameras I have now (different brands) are also very finicky. I’ve had to reset them or go thru the setup process several times to get them reconnected. Your issues don’t sound like they’re related to any kind of breach or security issue.
You’re probably referring to your router’s 2.4 & 5 GHz channels, not 5G
I have three wyze cameras, two wyze lightbulbs, four wyze smart plugs…extremely reliable and cost effective. I will never buy another brand.
