I’ve been having trouble pretty frequently with Amazon coupon codes. The first time it was $2ish dollars so I let it go. I was sure I had clipped it but questioned that I might have unclipped it somehow in the checkout process. The next time it just didn’t apply and I contacted them to be told that I didn’t buy the specific item that the coupon applied to. I couldn’t get the coupon to show up again when I went back to the item so I just returned it. This time I screenshotted each step of the way and sure enough no coupon credit wheny card was charged. Contacted Amazon and they had me email the screenshots and ended up crediting me a promotional credit off of my next purchase. That’s fine because that will probably be tomorrow LOL. Just a fair warning to consider screenshotting, check behind what you are charged and beware that they may not refund you but rather give you site credit that is only good on items sold directly by Amazon.
    Great deal though!

Thanks for taking the time to share with us, Stephanie M! Good to know! SO glad you could score the credit!

  2. Katyx

The $7 off coupon isn’t showing up.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! It is gone for me now as well. Thanks for the heads up! The post has been updated.

  3. Lisalyn

Coupon didn’t show, but I thought it was a very good price without it. Our poor fluffy cat went blind last night & then mistakenly got shaved when left at the vet today… Hoping this helps her feel better. Thanks again H2S!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Aww, You’re so welcome! Hope your kitty enjoys their new bed! 💖

  4. Joy

We use these outdoors in our insulated shelters for the community cats (fixed feral cats). They stay nice and toasty with these in their little houses. We use straw in some of the houses but the older cats get spoiled with these. And believe me, if I could take them all in I would, but they don’t want to be house pets.

    • *Angela-Miles*

Thank u so much for helping the kitties Joy!! We foster cats that are waiting for homes and I feel like im making a difference for them by keeping them out of the shelter cages. There is a feral cat that I feed but I havent figured out where he goes off to sleep yet.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Such a sweet idea, Joy! Thanks for the kind suggestion!

    Coupon code not there anymore

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for letting us know!

  6. Aj

This is actually not true all. A child is different than an animal with fur, especially if you purchase something like this and give them blankets and keep them in the garage which does have insulation. I do not let my dog sleep with us, he’s too big and noisy and wants to sleep in the garage. Not only that you stated in your comment that coyotes will get them, have you seen a coyote? Lol they are basically dogs, that are where? Oh, outside 🤣

    • Abby

@AJ —– You are wrong on soooo many levels. As for animals being different from kids, some people cannot have children and pets are their babies. Also the fur density is different in all animals, I have never heard a vet or another pet owner give the advice of keeping animals in garages. Furthermore, I don’t know what part of the country you’re from – maybe you just haven’t traveled much; YES COYOTES EAT DOGS HERE IN TEXAS, OKLAHOMA and LOUSIANA (and other places I’m sure). You can see them and bobcats in neighborhoods and guess what they’re searching for AJ?……FOOD… they are known to attack in groups… Here’s another thing you can look up along with coyotes attacking animals in neighborhoods…..There has been an increasing number of Cats & Dogs developing Cancer over the last 10 years, the treatment plan is the same treatment humans go through. Although we look different, there are vast similarities.

      • J.H.509

I saw a two dead coyotes on highway here on South Texas. One city is even called coyote country. We have bobcats country as well. They are very abundant here in South Texas. We keep and train our animals to inside our homes for this reason. Here we don’t walk in the ranch areas without protection. I hope everyone keeps their pets safe and warm.

      • Aj

This is when it’s good to have reading comprehension skills. I said coyotes are outside, not in the house. They survive and thrive just fine. It’s ridiculous to even put dogs or cats in the same category as children. I guess we know what is wrong with kids today🤷‍♀️
My dog is a dog, he works and has a purpose and is well taken care of. He also is the only dog In our area that is on a 5 mile walk everyday. I’m sorry for those who can’t have kids but animals are not children and putting them in the house at night and letting them lick your face doesn’t make it so🤪

    • Jan

Oh nice…. a comment about coyotes from some one who obviously has never dealt with them, or seen them in packs..😐 coyotes are even in the highly populated neighborhoods…

      • Aj

        Haha😂
The comment about coyotes was stating that coyotes and dogs are RELATED, same with wolves for that matter, and where do they live?
OUTSIDE. Do they die from the cold? NO. Neither will your dog.
        It’s really not hard.

  7. kcmiami88

Here in Florida there are many outdoor cats, and the policy is to not remove them and put them down because then another cat just comes along because the “territory” is now open. So with the giant outdoor cat population here this helps. When it gets below 50s, sometimes even 30s I don’t want the poor cat outside to freeze, but I’m also not going to bring it inside my home so I’ve been wanting one of these.

  8. CaliCatMom

I got two, separate transactions, and both had the $7.00 coupon. Two for $16.00. I am sorry to those who didn’t get the coupon ☹️ I want every kitty to have a warm bed.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh good! SO glad you could grab the savings!

  9. arshsomal

    K, You’re absolutely correct.

    • Sam

No she’s not. Dogs will be fine in the garage.
Maybe not outside in the cold.

  10. J.H.509

The coupon didn’t work for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I got one anyone considering the price was nice. Our cat is always trying to lay on the cable box or laptops for the warmth. This is exactly what she needs to sleep comfortably throughout the night….. hopefully…fingers crossed. Thanks hip2save

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome!

  11. patricialavenz-goff

Well said. If you love an animal enough to adopt it into your family it should only be outside during the day when you are not home.

  12. Huntbug

My 3 cats live outside and have for 10 years now. They are just fine!!! Loved and happy. They would hate being stuck inside. Don’t try to shame people that have pets that live outside. I do not want pet hair in my house that’s my choice just as it’s yours to have it. People who choose to have pets that live outside don’t love their pets any less than people who choose to have them inside and vise versa!!

  13. Tina

Thank you! Just ordered this for my 18 year old cat. Hopefully it will help her feel better with her arthritis. And also hope she won’t be too stubborn and will actually lay on it lol.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Tina! My cat is about to turn 16. She will never lay in a bed that I buy for her. She always prefers a fuzzy blanket on the couch. Hoping your cat loves her new bed! 💖

      • Tina

I was just checking on my order status and went to the product page and saw that the $7 coupon is showing again now. Of course it wasn’t when I ordered this morning. So I ordered it again at $9 and will be returning the one I paid $15 for this morning. Yay for free returns!! Lol.

        • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

          Thanks! I got it updated!

          • Tina

Soooo I was curious and checked on the item again today to see if it still showed the $7 coupon. It did. But the purchase price was now down to $8.83 so with the $7 coupon I bought it again for only $1.94!! Now I have 2 to return though lol. But for those price differences, the first one was at $16.78 & the second was $9.36 I couldn’t pass up that savings

  14. Colorado Amy

My indoor cat would love this. She loves when I use my heated blanket so she can sleep on it. She also loves to sleep under the covers with me at night. Thank you for posting.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Too cute! You’re so welcome!

  15. Jill

I knew I had missed the coupon deal and was fine paying full price of $15.83 but now they are $34.99!
