I’d love to hear about some of your favorites from Costco! I don’t have one super close – about 45 min away – but I received a $100 GC and I’d love to make the most of it! I don’t have a membership so does that mean I just pay 5% on top of the $15 in club price here? That’s such a great deal!

I am not sure but I heard that if u have a Costco gift card u can shop there without a membership, worth checking it out with their customer service

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! You are correct! Thanks so much for pointing that out, Shelly!

      • Maria

Love buying the gift cards to give away so my friends can use it at theIr gas station!

    • Lexy

Me too I want to hear more of your COSTCO Favs I just recently bought my Costco membership (through a hip 2 save deal of course) and it is pretty far

Be aware that Contigo just had a recall on water bottles.

    • Mary Ann

I think the recall was just on kids water bottles – the spout could detach and become a choking hazard? I still love my Contigo – I drink out of it, no small children

    • gray757

Also beware of the mold. I was totally grossed out when I finally broke one apart. I loved them but I won’t buy them again.

    • juliette sibson

Yes would advise not to buy these – there is a know issue with leakage. I am hoping to get a refund from Costco for these. Unfortunately can claim for damage done to my oak table.

What does everybody do with water bottles. I have never used one. I use my coffee cup (still fits in my cup holders) to and from work.

    • hellfiregainz

Sport games, travel, hiking, work, beach days

    • Amy

      They put water in it?

    • Lexy

You should have your coffee cup and water bottle. Coffee dehydrate you therefore drinking water is important. I take it to work and drink at least 16oz in the morning before my lunch ends.

So I just bought these to replace the other ones, that broke recalled. They are way to big for kids. Maybe teens or adults.

    • MissLauraLou

I think it depends on your kid! My kids (ages 9, 8, 7 and 5) all love to steal my water bottles to take to school or wherever. We have several kinds of smaller water bottles (Contigo, Thermos, etc) and they use them, but prefer to steal mine. I’ve been slowly trying to convert over to the larger bottles when I find deals…

    • NV2007

Yeah, my kid started using this size at age 5 and has been his preferred size. My youngest still uses the smaller ones but will convert to this size shortly.

I was just thinking these would make great teacher gifts for the end of the year with a beach towel or sunscreen πŸ‘πŸ»

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh! I love that idea! Thanks for the suggestion!

    • Sara

I have done this as a teacher gift. Filled the water bottle with those powdered/flavored drink tube things. They were a HUGE hit.

  6. growingbhoomi

arent these the ones with Recalled Bottle cap? it was also in news.

  7. Pat

Hey, Derby looks happy! He must have found a good deal!

    • juliette sibson

Not a good deal when you realise they leak. One bottle done irreparable damage to my oak coffee table. I would not recommend. The leak is a know issues

  8. Liz

Any deals on insulated lightweight water bottles? We live in Phoenix and I like the water to stay cold in the summer. Hydro flask is just too pricey for me to buy for 5 people.

    • Chelsey (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Liz! We actually tested out a few different brands of water bottles and found the Ozark Trail bottles from Walmart to be affordable and they work just as well as the expensive ones! https://hip2save.com/product-reviews/best-water-bottle/

Not a good deal when you realise they leak.
