completely off topic but i just wanted to let you guys know i just received a check for a settlement on AT&T in case anyone was affected too

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing! Good to know!

    • mccom13

@ATM–thanks for the heads up re: AT&T settlement! would you mind sharing more info about the settlement & claim process? TIA!

    • Amber

After seeing this and reading up on it from the FTC, it seems as current customers will see a bill credit and former customers will receive a check. I got a random credit of $12.86 on 1/7/20 to my bill. I thought it was the proration of a new phone purchase but maybe it was this instead. If you don’t mind me asking, how much was the check for?

        • Atul

Hi ATM. Thanks for the info. Any idea how the old ATnT customers can get the benefit out of this? I read the article n found that we don’t need to file the claim, but for old customers will ATnT be able to credit them back any smount.?

    • sheahill

Wow, That makes sense since I had a $13ish credit last month. I figured our bill dropped. Thanks for the info!

  2. Carrie Forsyth

I love this deal and can use almost all for our donations pile, but I’m trying to figure out if I can substitute something different for the almonds. I can’t seem to locate a specific list of items on the coupon. Can you please advise? Thank you in advance!

    • Mel

You mean the RR coupon? It can be used on pretty much anything in store, the exclusions are normally things like liquor, tobacco,rx’s (the ad coupon should have the full list) . So you can swap out the almonds for anything else that’s $5.99+

    • Lo

I think you could sub something else. Think you just have to spend $25 to get the reward. I’m guessing tobacco, prescriptions, alcohol, stamps don’t count

    • Dana

I think you just need an item that is $0.25 or more to make it to the $25 if you take out the almonds.

      • JD

If you are looking for filler items to make it to the $25 I usually pick up whatever tea is on sale. They are two for $1 or .99 cents for one. Or you could get whatever candy is on sale for the week. Also check the clearance shelf there’s usually something there that’s super cheap. I’ve been noticing lots of Burts Bee stuff on clearance. If you can pair a digital with a clearance one you can get a super good deal. Clearance can be on regular shelf or the store clearance shelf. Look at end caps. I love Walgreens even with all its ends and outs.

    • Lexy

Treseme is on sale 2/$10 and there is a digital coupon $4/2 making the $6 for two BUT YOu get back $2 in points for the purchase of of two – so technically only $4 for two large treseme bottles

    • Lexy

You can also buy candy 3/$5 king size Clip the store coupon $1.50 off 3

  3. Hanna

Is $25 before coupons or after ?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You just need to spend $25 BEFORE manufacturer’s coupons are deducted! 🙌

  4. ShunShynes

I need all of these items except for the nuts 🙂 this is an awesome deal, thank you for sharing.

    • Carrie Forsyth

Awesome, thank you for all of the helpful tips! I’ll definitely be stopping by Walgreens tomorrow. 😀

  5. Tracey

I don’t suppose they are like CVS and you can make two shopping trips to earn the RR? I just spent $15 yesterday on the detergents…

    • JD

No unfortunately. If I know there’s a deal and like you I don’t need or want items to get up to a particular spend total I buy Diet Coke for the 3 for $9.99 deal. Never goes to waste at our house. May or may not work out for you but that’s my go to to get up to a spend total. Always grab a weekly flier at the entrance to see if there’s a deal like this one as a tear out coupon on it. Check the Walgreens app on Sunday to see what’s new.

  6. Laurie

It’s always fun to see these types of posts! Would really love to see more! Thanks for all you do for your readers!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Laurie! I’ll pass that along to the team!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback Laurie! Much appreciated! 🤗

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Great way to sub out the almond and Febreeze for what you needed, brindhag! So glad you were able to go do this!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay! Glad you were able to score some awesome deals! Thanks for taking the time to comment. 😃

  7. KRISTINE Rosati

On the couponing websites people are going crazy over the bic pen/sharpie deal. Apparently it’s a huge money maker.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks! We will check that one out!

  8. Heather

I did this deal and no RR printed (or she didn’t give them to me) I didn’t notice since she put my receipt in one of my bags. I spent over $30 before coupons (I spent a bit over the $5.99 needed. LOL), I also had a $5 MF coupon from a deal on lipstick that I did last week or the week before (worked perfect since my daughter needed it for cheer the same week). I made sure the toothpaste was the one that did the $4 RR and that she scanned the coupon from the flyer for the $5 RR which it shows she scanned on my receipt. Can I go in and let them know that they didn’t print? Only thing is it will be a couple days before i can go back……. Either way great deal since my total was $23 for it all with out the RR, but having that $9 in RR would have been much better!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I would call the manager or contact customer service for sure, Heather!

  9. KRISTINE Rosati

Trycalling the 800 number. They can probably help you. Usually they give points.

  10. jes

Bics and sharpies were gone at my walgreens. But I did the deal posted here substituting a travel toothpaste for the almonds since I’m going away next week. Thank you! After rewards spent $14.14 and got $9 in rewards back!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Such awesome buys! 🙌

  11. Laura

Always get soooo jelly when I see good deals at Walgreens bc my store is super-dooooooooper anti coupon. I haven’t been in years because they always had an excuse for not taking every coupon. Case in point, I went last week and had 2 register rewards to use from the previous week and was told I can only use 1 register reward. I asked where it stated that on rr and she called manager. Manager said it’s their new policy not to take more than 1 coupon in any transaction. Is this something new?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

No this is not a new policy. It may be best to choose another Walgreens location, Laura.

  12. Krista

Thanks for sharing this! I used it to inspire my own deal and I ended up with:

    3 Nice! Bags
    3 Crest Toothpaste
    2 Herbal Essence shampoos
    1 Chapstick Hydration

After discounts, coupons & RR – OOP cost was $7.75! 🙂

    Thanks again!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nice! Thanks so much for breaking down your scenario – super helpful!

  13. Jeff

This is like such a cool throw back to all these kinds of deals we’d get at Wags with RR’s, coupons, etc! It was so much fun rockin’ it in the early days of blog deals! Money was so tight for us (during the great recession!), but wow how we stretched our dollars. And still do! Thanks Collin and team!

    • sheahill

      Those days were the best!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awww… the memories! 🤗 I totally agree!

  14. Mama Bear

    Add the Sharpies! LOL

  15. sharon

Also check out the winter clearance. I got sweatshirts for 1.29, heat holder socks for a little over 1.00. First Walgreens stuff was marked 70 percent off. 2nd Walgreens is was marked 50 percent. It’s really 90 percent. Its hats, dress socks, ( those are .10) then use 5000 bonus points from this weeks ad. Also they sweatpants were included too.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SWEET! Thanks so much for the heads up on what you spotted in store, Sharon!

  16. JPina

Are they sending it to everyone with the unlimited plan?

  17. Kerri

This scenario worked perfectly. Thank you so much for posting this. These posts are so helpful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woohoo! SO happy to hear that, Kerri! You’re very welcome!

  18. kelly

Can I pay with points and still get the rewards back?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Kelly! You can earn and redeem points on unit offers, but not on threshold offers. Find more details on how that works over here –> https://hip2save.com/walgreens-store-guide/
