I was told this was a glitch and they fixed it so it’s not free or a moneymaker

  2. Michelle

It is kind of misleading to list “free” or “money maker” in either scenarios since you are paying something out of pocket for all transactions? For markers you’d spend $3.79+$1.79 and end with $2 bonus reward = $3.58 out of pocket, not free. For pencils spend $2.99+$.99 and end with $2 bonus reward = $1.98 out of pocket, not a money maker.

    • Melissa Rice

Yes, they don’t end up being free.

    • ginger

you’re right. I was about to post the same.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi, Michelle! The first set you are paying for and the second you are getting for free (from Transaction 2) by rolling your points. I just updated the post to make it more clear.

      • Momof3

Its not free because at the beginning you paid $3.79 got back $2 then second transaction paid 1.79 got 2 soo
3.79+1.79=5.58 after 2 transaction you got 4 back that means you paid 1.58 for 4 packages at the end so its not free.. . People have to remember that just because you not taking money out packet means its free you did paid with real money at the beginning unless you had a coupon

I got some this morning and it worked!

  4. Lynn

I appreciate you all so much, but this post is confusing things, as evidenced by Pamela’s comment, and the facts. Using points to PAY, needs to be included in what you SPENT. It is not a moneymaker. You paid with 2,000 points, and got 2,000 points, in your scenarios, they actually cancel each other out…I wish you just stick with your revised post from earlier today…

    • Jessica

Exactly. The post before was much easier. This is just complicating things and making it something it’s not.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Lynn! You are paying for the first transaction, but by rolling points, you are getting the second one free. Hope this helps!

      • Lynn

No, I am sorry, but you are incorrect, and the post is both confusing an misleading. You are not considering that you are spending points, which is actually money spent. I don’t know how else to explain it…They are not moneymakers. It WAS a moneymaker BEFORE they fixed the glitch- on some packages. Maybe you could run this by your colleagues…

        • mel

Totally agree Lynn. In my spreadsheet, I never count my earned rewards on the transaction I am earning them, as I will use points on a future purchase. So If I were to do this deal, my notes would be
          transaction 1 $3.79 OOP, earn $2
          transaction 2 is $3.79 – $2 in points = $1.79 OOP + earn $2 for a future purchase
          Total spent $5.58 + $2 Reward

If I already had rewards banked it would be less OOP
          #1 $3.79 – $2 = $1.79
          #2 $3.79 – $2 = $1.79
          Total OOP $3.58 + $2 Reward

        • Me

          Misleading, wrong agree

I went earlier in the week and I got 4,000 points but today when I tried it, I only got 2,000 pojnts. It looks like they fixed it and they are not free anymore.

  6. Chris

I went earlier this week and got 2000 points for each package (even the free one)…went yesterday, store was wiped out and signs were down

  7. Kelly

I stocked up for September. Did multiple items at once and scanned boosters. Thank you!!
