My dog loves to sneak out of the house and I used to have a SmartThings Arrival sensor on his collar. SmartThings would alert me when he leaves the geofence but it does not tell me where he is out of the house. Now, with the SmartThings Tracker, I can get alerts when he sneaks out and I’ll have his exact location. Also, it’s great that it is water-resistant and dust proof. You also can’t beat the price and it has 1-year of service included!
This sensor works every time I open or close the door. I have a wide and deep trim around my doorframe so I was worried this wouldn’t work. Luckily for me, the two magnets don’t actually have to close completely for it to recognize that the door is closed. They just need to be within a couple inches of each other!
