Groupon makes it possible to buy a voucher now and support local businesses later!

To ensure the safety of its customers, employees, and merchants, Groupon has announced that it is extending vouchers for up to 12 months whenever possible and customers will be notified as these dates are extended.

If you’ve already purchased a Groupon, you’re asked to keep your voucher and “show up when you can.” If you want to do more to support local businesses now, Groupon encourages you to buy a voucher for later use, so merchants know they can count on your business when they’re back up and running again.

If you have questions about whether a merchant is open for business, you’re encouraged to contact them directly. Contact information can be found on every Groupon deal page and voucher.

I saw this and was wondering if this applies to Great Wolf. My voucher says I have to use it by May but not sure if they will still require me to use it within this time frame. A rep stated they are planning to reopen April 2nd but I still may not be able to use it . The website says some vouchers will be extended not all../

I am glad to hear this. We have a restaurant voucher that expires April 16.

I had one that I cant use, and they were unable to confirm the extension, they said that the location MAY honor, so they refunded the order instead. I did not want to take a chance.

Does anyone know what is going to happen for museums memberships? I bought a year for the Los Angeles National history museum. I was planning to go see their LEGO Exhibit for spring break treat. AMC stopped payment for their movie membership.

So happy to hear this. Thank you.

Does this happen automatically? I have one for a bowling alley that will expire soon.

Yes, it looks like Groupon will notify you as they extend the dates so I would keep an eye on your email to look for new expiration dates.
