FREE 15GB for Verizon Mobile Users
We’ll take all the freebies we can get right now!
Due to economic circumstances related to the Coronavirus and to keep customers connected during this economic and global crisis, through April 30th, Verizon is offering FREE 15GB of high-speed data for wireless consumer and small business customers.
This change will be automatically applied with no action from customers necessary.
Verizon is also waiving late fees for residential and small business customers impacted by COVID-19 and offering FREE international calling to CDC level 3 countries.
Also being waved are activation fees on new lines of service and upgrade fees. This applies to all purchases and service-only activations made through Verizon digital channels, such as verizonwireless.com and the My Verizon app.

If your a sprint customer this is what they are doing to help throughout this Coronavirus time. As of March 19th I was emailed this from sprint. An additional 20GB of mobile hotspot data per month • Waiving all activation and upgrades fee on sprint.com • Free next day shipping on sprint.com • Waiving per-minute calling rates from the U.S. to countries defined by the CDC as Level 3 We’re also increasing support for the 1Million Project Foundation. This organization provides high school students with free access to reliable internet services and mobile devices to allow them to reach their full potential. We are doubling these student’s data allotment from 10GB to 20GB each month for the next 3 months.
My husband spent hours waiting for Verizon to get back to him after reporting that our son couldn’t even connect to his school website for a simple video class. This is what they gave him…what they just gave everybody lol. Tried to have class again today it barely worked. I don’t know what my other college kid is going to do, he has to edit music!
Have your son contact his academic adviser at the college. They are working with students who have internet issues.
Thanks Collin! You are the best! I wasn’t even aware of this until your post! Stayf safe and take care!
Aww, you’re SO very welcome! Thanks a bunch for the well wishes, Enza! I’m sending them right back to you! 🥰
Where does it show the added data?
Wondering the same thing
Me too, mine doesn’t show the extra data!
Mine also doesn’t show anything, but here is more detailed info from their COVID-19 FAQ

I have been with Verizon for years. I am switching from Verizon to a new provider because they raised my bill for no reason. After shopping around I found out I was being overcharged for a long time even before they raised my bill.
Amazing. Shame on ATT. My kids have to do a homework online and I live in rural area where only DSL with 3 Mbps is available, but too slow for their testing and projects. I call Att to ask if we can get some hot spot data free ( btw we have 4 lines, land line and DSL with att)And they said I have to pay extra $30 a month.
C-spire (in the south) is giving 25 gb extra data for free to all its customers through the end of April. ❤️
That’s awesome! Thanks, Steph B! Good to know!
Thanks! I got upgraded my phone and added a new Tablet to my account 3/17/20 right when COVID-19 was starting. I was charged 2 $40 activation fees because I had to go to the store. The trip was a disaster!! I’m going to contact someone and see if they’ll waive the fees as a courtesy. All they can do is say no! Thx!!
