This freebie is for all the hard-working teachers out there. 💗

Even though most physical schools have closed their doors, countless teachers are working harder than ever these days as they adapt their curricula and teaching strategies for online learning.

If you’ve ever watched a kindergarten teacher wrangle 20 five-year-olds during a Zoom meeting, you know that distance learning is challenging for teachers too!

To recognize the efforts of hard-working teachers everywhere, Reese Witherspoon’s fashion brand Draper James is providing 250 teachers with free dresses! According to this New York Post article, there will be a total of 250 dresses donated to teachers as a gesture of thanks for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.

After submitting the form, watch your email for more information about the 250 winners. The company will be reaching out on Tuesday, April 7 with more details – it is rumored that every eligible teacher who enters will score a promo code for 25% off at Draper James.

Thank you, teachers – for all that you’re doing to stay connected with your students! 💗

On the New York Post it says 250 dresses. Making it sound more like a drawing?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for mentioning that. We have updated the details.

  3. Jackie

Well, I ran out to my car to grab my ID and now the document isn’t working. I’m sure this is a drawing, otherwise it’s just going to be too many people. Hopefully it went through. Thanks for sharing!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Jackie! It seems this is getting a lot of traffic right now.

Has anyone successfully submitted the form. When I tried to upload a picture of my id, I kept getting a message saying “server failed.”

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! It seems this offer is super popular and is getting hit with a lot of traffic. Hoping it goes through for you soon!

I filled out the form, but it did not ask me to upload a photo of my school id.

This is from the email sent around 8am this morning:

*To receive a free Draper James dress, teachers must complete this form and will be vetted and selected on a first come, first served basis. Eligible teachers will receive a promo code via email that entitles them to one free dress and free shipping within the United States Only. The free dress will be chosen from a specific category to be sent directly to recipients.

I filled out the form this morning, but even if I don’t get a dress, the gesture is appreciated. The past few weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions for us teachers.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful feedback!

  8. Rachel

I guess teachers at small schools that don’t use school IDs are out of luck.

  9. skmeags

I did this earlier then I’ve been thinking how I shouldn’t have. What if they get hacked??? I’ll end up getting fired! 🙁

  10. Sarah Collison

How do we sign up ?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You can click the free dress link above and fill out the form.

      You’re SO welcome, Suzy! 🤗

  13. Meg

I have to say that I would never wear a dress that short (or cute) to teach in, but I think this is very sweet. I’m not throwing my hat in, but I wish Good Luck to those who are!

  14. Benjamin

Have anything for men that teaches Pre-K

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That’s a great question! I don’t see anything right now, but will be sure to post any we find!

  15. Lisa JP

  16. Amy Damaska

What a nice, kind gesture. How I would love a new dress! What a pick me up!

  17. Concerned citizen

Ridiculous! Teachers are safe and sound at home getting paid. What about the people who lost their jobs? Or the rest of the community who is out there fighting really hard everyday?

    • Concerned citizen my butt !

Really ?? !!! Someone tries to do something nice and you find a way to complain about it !

    • Tina9222

Some people just can’t seem to be happy for others!!! There’s a saying… Today for me,tomorrow for you. Make it your Mantra😌

    • not so much

Sorry you are salty bc you have to do some activities with your kids at home! Teachers are actually working harder to provide for the students now than ever! How many of these kids are in horrible homes where they get no help bc their parents are crap, they don’t get fed, and school was their safe place and the teacher was the only one who showed that they loved and cared for them. I’m sorry your educational experience was horrible, but teachers do WAY more than the average person thinks. AND they are still trying to do it at home. Have you tried getting 20 kids online at one time from different homes? And thank a teacher that you can even spell to type this out!

      • Chris

Very well said! And to that I add- the amount of work done weekly that far exceeds a 40 hr work week throughout the year and hundreds of thousands of teachers who had one week (often their spring break) to learn an entirely new platform and be up and running in 5 days while still taking care of all of their home responsibilities and their own kids.

  18. Muche

    I don’t need a dress, I need more lounge pants…with a cute top for video calls 🤣

  19. Jennifer Decker

Does this include teachers who teach in higher ed? We are teachers too.

  20. Chelsea Ruesink

This would be a bright spot during this tough time! 😊

  21. Alicia Weaver

    Thank you so very much❣

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re most welcome!

  22. Wendy

It didn’t ask me for a picture of my school ID when I filled out the form. What should I do?

  23. Katherine Breedlove

Hi there! This is such a wonderful gesture for teachers!! Could you please tell me how to access the form? Thank you.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! Be sure to click through the link in the post – ” complete this form”. I still find it that way. Hope this helps!
