On the fence? Here are some reviews to consider….

I’ve always had German knives because I love the way they feel in my hand and how durable they are. But sometimes you need a sharper knife for fine chopping and fish, and that’s where the Japanese knife comes into play. It’s much thinner and has a smaller edge but in the past, that could make it easy to chip.

This knife is made from incredible new steel, that is very durable and chip resistant. It’s made and sold in Japan as a premium knife which tells me it’s authentic!

This knife will keep its razor-sharp edge because the core is made from FC61 steel which is harder and more durable than other types of steel. The handle has a traditional German-style feel, so if you want to try a Japanese knife but prefer the comfortable handle you are used to, this would be a good knife to try!
