Free Kids Meals at All Sheetz Locations for Families in Need | No Purchase Required
This convenience store is helping to feed kids during the coronavirus crisis.
Sheetz, a convenience store that operates in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, just expanded its Kidz Meal Bagz initiative to all 600 of its locations. This program provides a free lunch for children in need, many of whom no longer have access to the free or reduced-price meals they would normally be receiving at school.
Beginning April 16th, these kids meals will be available all day long (for as long as supplies last) at every Sheetz location. Each meal includes a turkey sandwich, chips, and a drink.
Families wishing to take part in this program can go to any Sheetz location and ask an employee at the register for one meal per child. According to clarification provided on the company’s Facebook page, families can also receive these lunches without entering the store in locations where there is a drive-through window.
Previously, this program was tested at select Sheetz locations, where it was very popular. From some of the comments on social media, it appears that these lunches go fast, and they are often gone for the day by lunchtime. If you’re in need of a lunch for your child, you may want to consider stopping by early in the day to get one.
