The Phantom of the Opera

Broadway might be shut down due to the coronavirus, but fans of musical theater can now watch some of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most popular shows for free!

Thanks to a weekly streaming series on YouTube called “The Shows Must Go On!”, you can watch full-length performances of some of Webber’s greatest shows, with a new one posted each Friday.

This week’s performance is The Phantom of The Opera starring Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess and Hadley Fraser. It will be available to watch for 48 hours beginning on April 17th at 2PM Eastern.

Although these shows are free to stream, viewers are encouraged to make a donation to various charities from week to week. Fans will also have the chance to purchase these performances to keep and watch any time.

A new performance will be revealed every week, so subscribe to The Shows Must Go On if you’d like to be among the first to know which of Webber’s masterpieces will be shown next week. Subscribers will also get access to clips of performances and behind-the-scenes footage from other shows.

    I have a Roku and I’ve downloaded the YouTube TV app, and I’m having trouble finding the “shows must go on” channel. Any help on trying to find this?

      It is not the Youtube TV app, which has TV channels etc, but Youtube itself with all the videos.
