What about shipping? Is it free too?
Hi there! Here are the current shipping details – “Note that shipping is free with $50; otherwise shipping is $5.95.”
Thanks!! I saw it after I posted…sorry about that!!
No worries at all! You’re welcome!
The wording of these posts are so inconsistent/inaccurate anymore. “Final cost” once referred to the cost of the item(s) plus shipping costs (when applicable). You wouldn’t get so many questions about shipping if you put it right in the post rather than using a separate “shipping” button,
I prefer cotton and wish more items were not synthetic
I agree with the preference for cotton. We now know that merely wearing synthetic garments causes microplastics to be shed and end up in the environment, in the ocean especially. And, that does not mean that it is “over there, too bad” but it gets into the food chain and then into us.
Living right with respect to the earth is a challenge, everything can seem overwhelming, and a natural reaction is to say “Why try?”, but it is possible to take it one step at a time.
Myself, I long ago committed to buying TP that is only post-consumer recycled content, and rolls not individually wrapped. Once I got used to that and made it an easy habit, I picked the next thing to do.
Knowing now what damage synthetics are doing, I have recently committed to only nonpolluting fibers. No, it is not easy, not at first. I’m still learning how to make that work for me. It does mean I cannot respond to a sale by saying to myself “Well, it’s a bargain, so just this once.”
When quarantine is over, I want to search for natural-fiber clothing in local thrift shops, to add to the value of this commitment. Meanwhile, I will be shopping in my closet, which is another way I can reduce my footprint!
Marci,
Thanks for sharing. I was going to buy them until you mentioned the above. I had no idea that synthetic materials were harmful to the earth.
I suggest looking into Girlfriend Collective, if you need workout clothes before local thrift shops open up. They use recycled water bottles (taken from the ocean) to create leggings and bras. I think that’s what I’ll do now that I am informed, by you!
Thanks!
