I have the plastic version of this bottle with the exact same design for the top. The drinking spout won’t close or fold down.
I bought one of these for my son at the beginning of the school year and by about the 3rd week the spout wouldn’t shut properly and the bottle was leaking, IMO I wouldn’t get this bottle for everyday use

I have two of these my son uses for summer daycare trips and they are great, everything works just fine, easy for him to use, keeps things cold. They are the exact one shown in blue, he loves them.

I had leaking issues as well with the plastic ones. I found that whenever you open the lid you have to pop the spout as well and before you close the lid make sure the rim (on both the bottle and lid) is completely dry and insert the straw with the spout open, tighten the lid, then close the spout. Since I’ve taken those little steps I’ve been leak free for about two years. And also, if these go upside down or lie sideways with a lot of water in it it will leak through the spout area. I just keep mine in my backpack pocket for no issues. Hope this helps.
We have one for each family member and haven’t had any problems. We’ve had them for a few months. Love that water stays really cold even in the Georgia heat.
I’ve had these for years in the stainless version. We have taken them to Disney multiple times and use them daily. Never leak and keeps drinks icy forever!

I’ve been using mine since I bought it when it was last posted here several months back. My kids broke my last plastic one. Different brand I think. My main concern was getting a new one that didn’t leak at all whatsoever. This one has been perfect. I use it to get my water intake throughout the day. My only issue is that it only holds 21oz. So after ice and everything it doesn’t hold as much water as I would like. But on the flip side, it’s a nice size to fit in the stroller cup holder. So overall, I love it!
