Great deal but so hesitate to buy from online again. We live in NYC. We ordered a couple times from online and ours never received. Some people are stealing the masks I believe. Sighhhhhh May be local dealers/ shops are better but then, we have to pay so expensive.

    • queen62

Check out B&H photo they had them.$34.99

    • JD827

rite aid.com has them but are very slow. Masks are fine once you get them. I’ve used dealgenius.com and got them in a couple of days; they had exam masks and kn95. Quality was fine. I got some exam masks at CVS instore. $1.99 apiece at the counter. Nothing special but just fine. Someone below suggested wyze and I’ve heard good things about them. I’m going to try them next. I think any of these sources would be fine. If they are being stolen from your doorstep have them shipped fedex to your closest Walgreens and pick the package up there. I’m sorry for the bad experience.

I ordered masks in april never got them so am dont how many times I can order and never receive them. Is a great deal if I would really get them.

  3. IB

$10 cheaper on Amazon. These do nothing to protect you from the virus, but good for pollen, etc.

    • Renee

Will you please provide amazon link. I do not have eBay account so it would be a lot easier to order from amazon and plus save money! Thank you for any information!

  4. Steph

If these do nothing to protect you from getting the virus then we are all in real trouble because these look like what all the workers from Kroger have been wearing plus at my hair salon. Better than nothing.

    • IB

Not here to argue, just wanted to make people aware that cloth masks offer very poor protection against airborne viruses. Prolonged use can actually increase your chances of getting a respiratory injection. These are good for pollen like stated in the description, but not much more. And that’s why I mentioned Amazon…if you want to buy, don’t overpay as a lot of people are gouging.

      • Ida

IB – masks were never intended to protect yourself but more to protect others from you if your sick..if you cough or sneeze into a mask, it will prevent those droplets from getting blasted into the air or into someone’s face. Also of it is prevention for those that are asymptomatic. When you talk, you shoot out droplets etc. Mask will catch those.

    • Tina

The use of masks for the general public is only worn to make the person next to you “feel safe”.

    • savvyshops

Guys I read a study that tested a lot of masks against sub particles, the size of corona, and these surgical masks actually blocked like 65-75% of those particles so honestly it’s better than nothing. Even cloth did around 65%. I think it’s the meltblown layer that does it but these are too loose around the face.

  5. Wanda

These are meant to slow the spread of virus, protect others not protect the wearer.

  6. Mary

    COVID-19 facts:
1- Full head helmet masks with pumped in oxygen are the only true 100% protection (if donned and removed properly)
2- N95 masks are designed to filter out 95% of airborne particulate
3-These 3-ply non-woven design masks do not protect the wearer, but reduce the wearers ability to spread virus
    germs
4-CDC guidance for disinfecting and washing is a level of protection.
5-Isolation/stay-at-home is the best level of protection (assuming no one is infected in the isolation)
6.-A viral test tells you if you have a current infection.
7-An antibody test tells you if you had a previous infection.

Currently N95 masks are extremely difficult to find. I found 20 selling for $153 or about $8 each + shipping.

I just bought Guru Nanda Facemasks In Sam’s Club 50 ct $24.97.

Thanks for the heads up on your find!

They also have these on Woot, a pack of 50 for $29.99, for the earloop style. Also Dollartree sells a pack of 8 for $1, in their hardware section. I saw some at my store just last week. I live outside of Nashville. When caring for the covid population we wear an N95 at the hospital I work in, but as general use, and for the protection of others, I think these simple masks are fine.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful comment! We’ll be sure to look for those!

  9. StephanieT

    I found these on amazon with better qualify and even a review from a customer on May 1, 2020 as follows;

“They are pretty much identical to the surgical masks doctors use,and come with the same layer of protection.. I did the self tests of trying to blow out a candle with it on, and the candle did not budge no matter how hard I blew with this on.. IT WORKS.. and gives the protection you need.. Defiantly thankful to get my hands on these.”

      Thanks, StephanieT!

These can also be found on wyze.com for $32.09 shipped AND use the code LIGHTUPMYLIFE for a free wyze smart lightbulb for every $20 order. If you buy 2 boxes of masks, you’ll receive 3 lightbulbs with the code. Tried it, it works

  11. Fei

I got a box of 50 face mask at my local Sam’s Club for $24.97! Everyone limit to 1.

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for the tip, Fei!

  12. MamaBug

Wow… supply and demand. 2 years ago these were $10 for a box of 50. I got a deal and scored a box for $2. I put them away to use while I mow and then promptly forgot about them. We’ve used a few, but I prefer the cloth reusable masks for everyday purposes.

    • Lolas93

I know! I got a few boxes for emergencies about 5 years ago and they were only $5 a box then.

  13. Mary

Check your local Walgreen’s for disposable masks. One of my local Walgreen’s had a box of 50 or a bag of 12. I think the box was around $36 and the 12 pack was around $12.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for commenting, Mary! Good to know!

  14. Flo

Face Mask, Pack of 50 on Amazon for $34.99.

    Made in Wuhan China.

  15. Sam

    Fresh from China.

    • JD827

Everything medical is fresh from China and has been for quite a few years. People are only now waking up and smelling the coffee. It can be changed. Tell your Senator and Representative that your bottle of aspirin should read Made in the USA.

  16. Jess

Not sure if everyone is aware but if you do have a N95, they need to be fit tested for you. So just because you have one, it doesn’t mean it can protect you from droplets if it doesn’t fit and droplets can go around the seal. I know some hospital staff have been fit tested but some police officers, general public, etc have not from what I have heard.

    • JD827

Yes you are absolutely right. My daughter works mental health and was fitted. There is a great deal to it. Much of what is being sold is actually counterfeit. From what I’ve been told it is actually quite difficult and unpleasant to breathe with an N 95 for the most vulnerable.

      • savvyshops

Yes I have real N95 and it is hard to breath I can go about 2 hours max, plus my glasses fog. But honestly that’s is the only real protection for me so I have to deal with it. But yes beware if counterfeits I bought some on Amazon that were fake and I paid a lot for them and had to send them back. The FDA has a list of approved manufacturers in China that make kn95 which have been tested, don’t buy unless it’s on that list.

  17. roz

Zulilly had some a week or so ago, probably still do. Best deal for them is a free shipping offer.

  18. Jan

Look at Love Your Melon. They have masks made with surgical wrap (Google it). They have single use (Which I suspect can be washed) and multi-use masks. Totally trustworthy in shipping. They also donate one to front line for every one purchase AND donate a portion of each sale to childhood cancer. Made in the USA.

  19. JD827

boxed.com has the general use masks and would be a reliable shipper. Menards.com has the general use masks pack of 50 individually wrapped within the box as well as KN95 masks in a pack of 10 and is shipping now. Menards is a large chain of home improvement stores and would be reliable. Wyze has surgical masks and you can use Amazon’s checkout. These should be reliable shippers for those who have had bad experiences.

    • savvyshops

Don’t buy from a third party on Amazon! I’ve had several issues with fakes, only buy Prime and make sure it ships from Amazon’s warehouse, “fulfilled by Amazon”, otherwise its a nightmare.

      • JD827

Wyze is a well-known major player in the field of smart goods. I liked the perk of not entering all my info on yet another web site plus they have surgical masks, a step up from general masks.

  20. Diana

I purchased a box of 50 from Amazon for $16.95 with free shipping this am. Went back to order more this afternoon and they are $42.49.
