When using the phone app the openers lights flash and a beeper sounds to warn anyone nearby that the door is about to open. It allows you to monitor its openings and closings letting you know if and when someone has been in your garage. The battery backup is awesome, especially if you are differently-abled and have a power outage. You’ll still be able to open the door up to 50 times!
