NBA Basketball is Starting Again and We’ve Got the Dates
Hey NBA Fans, basketball is returning!
With a tentative start date of July 31st, basketball is ready to resume and NBA fans can’t be happier! Twenty-two teams will be returning to restart the 2019-20 season followed with a full playoff schedule that will end no later than October 12th.
The NBA has worked with team owners to approve this plan and is now waiting on a final agreement with The Walt Disney Company to use Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida as the site for all games, practices and housing for the remainder of the season.
What about the fans?
Health experts say stadiums are one of the highest-risk areas for coronavirus transmission so we’ll all be watching from the comfort of our couches for now.
That’s ok with us! The thought of watching LIVE sports again after putting so much on hold for the past few months is so exciting, we’ll happily take the couch seats!
What about the draft? Next year’s schedule?
If all goes well, the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery would be rescheduled for August 25th, and the 2020 NBA Draft would be held on October 15th. The 2020-21 NBA regular season will likely begin on December 1, 2020.

Hi, missy! We are just hoping to add some happiness to the life of our readers!
Thanks for the happiness! I think our family will enjoy this a bunch!
We just got rid of DirecTV, and at present only have our Roku with Disney+ (paid) and other free programming. How about a post on best priced streaming options for the NBA.
Glad this makes you happy! I will pass along your great suggestion to the team!
Great news! Thanks for the info!
You’re most welcome!
