Great deal. I just bought one about 2 weeks ago thru amazon and paid $90 for it. It is awesome. I decided not to attach the towel holder since I added it next to my couch like an end table. It is a great product and easy to assemble.

Awesome! Thanks for letting us know how easy it is to put together!

Brand new rescue kitty mom here so not sure about a lot of things. I heard some cats would not like an enclosed litterbox. Thoughts anyone?

    • SamShops

I’ve had cats my whole life, they get used to using whatever is available, including enclosed. It keeps the smells in too. Just scoop once a day- throw in a plastic grocery bag (I use double bags) Then into regular trash.

Eww. Not sure why you’d want a litter box for a nightstand or to out your drink on next to the couch?

    • J.H.509

That’s exactly what I was thinking too. We have our kittens litter box in the restroom and I’m still aware that it’s there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Holly

They might be using it as a pet bed.

Thank you! That my was my initial reaction as well. I even wondered if this was a joke at first. I’m currently petless but have had cats in the past. I like cats and if I were going to get a pet again in the future it would probably be a cat but I thought maybe my current petless-ness was causing me to be insensitive. We had our cat’s litter box in the laundry room off the garage and even with fairly frequent cleanings and litter catching mats it wasn’t something I would want in the living room next to my couch, or in my bedroom by my bed. The litter box, shedding and furniture scratching are the reasons I haven’t gotten a cat again.

I bought this many years ago living in a small house or apartment to hide an ugly litter box and contain some of the litter traction.
It’s awesome at first. But, over time didn’t prove to be really that practical.
If you have cats that spray or ever miss the litter box for any reason whatsoever, you can just forget about this product right now.
Even though my cats didn’t have an issue with spraying, some trace amounts of urine or occasional diarrhea or other mishaps end up on the walls and going down between the pieces of wood. In short, it eventually gets to be one smelly disgusting piece of furniture. There is no way to really clean it or sanitize the wood. The wood warps with moisture. And, I think as the urine smell builds up, it encourages cats to actually start spraying even if this has never been an issue before.
Maybe, if there were a way to seal the wood and between the wood joints to avoid urine and feces from soaking into the wood and so that it could occasionally be cleaned out with some bleach, maybe it would be usable and last.

Caulk the seams inside to solve this problem.

I have no experience with the enclosure product but I highly recommend Clorox Urine Remover. It is so much better than bleach because it works on hard or soft surfaces with no bleach fumes. Gets urine out of grout like a boss as well. It is sold in a small bottle at pet store chains and in a larger bottle for human problems such as potty training and incontinence at major chains. My beloved sweetheart of a dog is near end of life and it’s a must. I bought a bottle for my daughter to clean up after her elderly cat and she loves it as well.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for recommending this!

    • Nicole

We LOVE the urine remover!! It works better than our full size cleaning machine and is SO much cheaper.

    • Laura Lynn N.

Thank you so much for the info. I will def. look for this for my elderly cat, Bonnie.

  6. CandyTiffany

Thank you so much for the advice.

I think that the promo might have changed in the time since this was posted. I’m visiting Chewy right now, and it seems as though only one of the three color options (Walnut) is on sale, and by 30%. (There is a note indicating this, in green, when you click on the Walnut option.) I played around with adding the White item to my cart, and sure enough, it does not have an extra discount.
The Walnut item’s price is $88.82, minus a discount of $26.65, making the total price $62.17. (Still not bad!)
    …Just an update. 🙂

Thanks, Ann! We’ll update the post.
