More The Children's Place

The Children’s Place has announced that they plan to close 300 more stores between 2020 and 2021, but this doesn’t mean that the popular children’s retailer is going anywhere!

The Children’s Place has been focusing more on online sales and has been closing stores since 2013, with a total of 275 stores closed so far. Plus, they have added Gymboree to their online portfolio with a small selection of The Children’s Place physical stores carrying Gymboree apparel.

The online business model has proven to be successful for Gymboree, so we could possibly see The Children’s Place following suit.

Stores closings usually mean that there will be sales. However, discounts will likely vary depending on each state’s current coronavirus policies and guidelines. A list of stores has not yet been shared but we’ll keep an eye out!

The quality is now barely as good as Walmart clothing I stopped shopping here some time ago. Now the quality 14 years ago with my older kids up until about 8 years ago was great but now with my youngest boy I noticed it is most definitely not the same quality

I so agree! Both my kids now 18 & 14 wore nothing but CP & the people at their schools were always impressed at how well they stayed looking nice. I’ve been buying stuff for younger family members the last 5 yrs & no Thxs, the quality has greatly declined. It’s sad because their prices were the best. I ❤️ that store & was sad my kids outgrew it.

I agree! I worked there 12 years ago while I was in college, and I the clothes were cute and the quality was good. Now that I have my own kids, I went back to buy for them. Definitely not the same quality. I would even say worse than Walmart. I’ll stick to Target and Kohl’s.

I have a toddler girl that is tough on clothes and these clothes are fantastic, the price tag isn’t bad if on sale too, that’s the only time I buy. I hope they keep their online because stores around me are far but not that great.

I have been buying from the children’s place for 12 years. You can’t beat clothes for around $1 a piece when you shop super sale. If the kids get a month of uses out of it (my kids, all 6, stain everything) it is great so it doesn’t hurt to throw it out. The quality is never an issue it gets thrown out from stains before its worn out.

Im picky and I think these clothes are absolutely great for the price and quality. Kids grow quickly and ive found CP clothing to be wonderful at every age range from toddler to 16 xxl, no complaints. Where else can you get practical yet cute unicorn, glittery, stylish clothes etc. for 99 cents and up??

Wasnt there a class action lawsuit on them? Whatever happened to that?

      I wondered that too.
