You will soon be able to enjoy movies on the big screen again!

Regal Cinemas has announced that the reopening of their movie theaters is set for July 10th.

The reopening plan includes safety measures based on feedback received from employees and moviegoers that they have deemed most important for their safe return. In addition, auditorium capacities and limiting of group sizes will continue to be mandated by local and state restrictions.

Some of the new safety measures will include requiring all employees and guests to wear masks at all times, contactless payments, ULV foggers for sanitization of auditorium seats after each movie, floor markers to assist with social distancing, reduced menu offerings, eliminating refills and vending machine bans. Head over here to learn more.

nope, nope, nope! too bad the gift card deal is for such a short time–i would take advantage, but we are not putting ourselves in this type of situation any time soon.

You will spend the rest of your life home, but it is your choice.

Well, that’s certainly an extremist point of view. Some of us are trying to follow the CDC guidelines, thanks.

        • Debby

Which CDC rule is it today? Tomorrow it will change 🙄. Flip flop flip flop…. hard to take anything this incompetent group says… right along with WHO. I’m not going if I have to wear a sheep mask…

      Agree 100%.

  2. Javajane

Totally agree. Don’t want to encourage people to remove their mask to chomp on popcorn.

We need more Drive-In theaters! I wish they’d bring some of those back.

I would not sit in an area for hours, with strangers you do not know if they have or not.
I quit my job as a cashier because people feel entitled to shop when they are sick and even bring the whole sick family in!
Dentists and hairdressers complain about this too!
If you are sick, stay home! Too many think rules apply to others but not themselves!

I miss miss miss living near a good drive in theater!!!

A good friend of ours is a regional manager for the theaters in our area, and he has been out of work this entire time. He has children to feed and house, too; I’m relieved for him the theaters are reopening. If this was AMC, I’d be all over it, since we don’t have Regal.

You couldn’t pay me to sit in a confined indoor space with strangers during a pandemic.

For those who care to read my comment – I was raised to care about all. Common courtesy. I am not showing symptoms, but I could be asymptomatic. So I wear a mask to protect YOU. I don’t know your story. Do you have a compromised system? Does any one in your family? Are you a nurse that cares for cancer patients? Etc. What happened to us? Why do we no longer care about one another? It’s a very small thing to do – it shows we care. We are still in the middle of a pandemic.
