  2. Jen

Why do they look like face diapers? Lol

    • Amber

      That’s really what a mask is anyway…

    • Ava

Should see the ones Kaiser sent their employees; they look like loose pads hanging on your face.

    • Hipgrandma

Like someone said about the Hanes pack…underwear for your face

    • weml

      Because they’re white

  3. obler

You could tie dye them. Or fabric markers.

    • Tina Tina

      Great idea!

    • tctbtob

      Very clever idea! Thank you

    • Gina

We got these months ago when COVID was ramping up in Italy. They do look like underwear material.

    • Cherri

We tie dyed, adorable. Fun project for adults and kids!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I’m loving that idea, Obler! Thanks for the suggestion!

  4. LauraG

Bought a 7 pack and tie dyed them with my 8 yo. Craft for her, masks for us!

    • Pam

Did you buy these exact masks? I’m curious about tye-dying these in school colors and using them as a fund raiser for our cross country team.

      • Andrea B

I did buy these exact masks but in the smaller pack. I dyed them gray (it’s what I had on hand) with no problem. The color was consistent all the way through.

        • Pam

Thank you! Good to know they dyed well.

      • LauraG

Yes, this brand. It was a 5 pack, not 7, for about $7. We dyed them yesterday & they turned out well. I used the free samples of dental floss you get from the dentist to tie them. They’re loose on my 8 yo, so I’m going to sew the ends tighter. They turned out cute!

  5. Marie

    Face underwear 😂

  6. sr

Hope they come out with a 10 pack as we don’t need 50 of them especially since they are washable and reusable.

    • Andrea B

They do have a 10 pack. My daughter picked 2 packages up from the PX a couple of weeks ago.

      • Sherri

I saw packs at Home Depot.

    • Amber

They had 5 packs at dollar general

  7. hip2jen

Hanes ones are not good. Too small for the face! I hope these cones in dark colors

    • Hipgrandma

Hmmm. Hanes were too big for me too small for my husband

  8. sue-4

With schools maybe opening up a good thing to donate!!

  9. Becky M

    Cricut project

    • Dana Edwards

That was my thought. Wish they had them in child sizes though

  10. Steph

My Meijer had these in 10 packs in both all white or all black packages. Don’t remember the price though. They were hanging in the jewelry/purse area.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thank you, Steph!

From an OSHA Inspector: “I wanted to put this out there. I have worked in a clean room for 23 years and 10 years on Submarines before that. OSHA is the standard that you have to live by in these environments. So for the people that are going to say, listen to the experts, OSHA would be those experts on face masks. Please read the following with an open mind. Not going to change the mind of the hard core believers, but it would be nice for those people to not attack us that are not, as not caring. Not going to debate this, just putting it out there. COPIED FROM AN OSHA CERTIFIED GENTLEMAN: If you care, then share. For all you mask wearers (especially those of you who think wearing it outside is NOT stupid 🤦🏼‍♀️). I know I’m about to burst your “google doctor degree” bubble, but here goes nothing. So Masks? I am OSHA 10&30 certified. I know some of you are too. I don’t really know WHY OSHA hasn’t come forward and stopped the nonsense BUT I want to cover 3 things • N95 masks and masks with exhale ports • surgical masks • filter or cloth masks Okay, so upon further inspection, OSHA says some masks are okay and not okay in certain situations. If you’re working with fumes and aerosol chemicals and you give your employees the wrong masks and they get sick, you can be sued. • N95 masks: are designed for CONTAMINATED environments. That means when you exhale through N95 the design is that you are exhaling into contamination. The exhale from N95 masks are vented to breath straight out without filtration. They don’t filter the air on the way out. They don’t need to. Conclusion: if you’re in Target and the guy with Covid has a N95 mask, his covid breath is unfiltered being exhaled into Target (because it was designed for already contaminated environments, it’s not filtering your air on the way out). • Surgical Mask: these masks were designed and approved for STERILE environments. The amount of particles and contaminants in the outside and indoor environments where people are CLOGGING these masks very, VERY quickly. The moisture from your breath combined with the clogged mask will render it “useless” IF you come in contact with Covid and your mask traps it, YOU become a walking virus dispenser. Everytime you put your mask on you are breathing the germs from EVERYWHERE you went. They should be changed or thrown out every “20-30 minutes in a non sterile environment.” • Cloth masks: I can’t even believe I’m having to explain this, but here it goes. Today, three people pointed to their masks as they walked by me entering Lowe’s. They said “ya gotta wear your mask BRO” I said very clearly “those masks don’t work bro, in fact they MAKE you sicker” they “pshh’d” me. By now hopefully you all know CLOTH masks do not filter anything. You mean the American flag one my aunt made? Yes. The one with sunflowers that looks so cute? Yes. The bandanna, the cut up t-shirt, the scarf ALL of them offer NO FILTERING whatsoever. As you exhale, you are ridding your lungs of contaminants and carbon dioxide. Cloth masks trap this carbon dioxide the best. It actually risks your health, rather than protect it. The moisture caught in these masks can become mildew ridden over night. Dry coughing, enhanced allergies, sore throat are all symptoms of a micro-mold in your mask. -Ultimate Answer: *N95 blows the virus into the air from a contaminated person. *The surgical mask is not designed for the outside world and will not filter the virus upon inhaling through it. It’s filtration works on the exhale, (Like a vacuum bag, it only works one way) but likely stops after 20 minutes, rendering it useless outside of a STERILE ENVIRONMENT (correct Becky, they don’t work in a bar, not even a little bit). *Cloth masks are WORSE than none. It’s equivalent to using a chain link fence to stop mosquitos. The CDC wants us to keep wearing masks. The masks don’t work. They’re being used to provide false comfort and push forward a specific agenda. For the love of God, research each mask’s designed use and purpose, I bet you will find NONE are used in the way of “viral defense.” Just like EVERY Flu season kids, wash your hands. Sanitize your hands. Don’t touch stuff. Sanitize your phone. Don’t touch people. And keep your distance. Why? Because your breath stinks, your deodorant is failing, your shoes are old and stink, that shirts not clean, & I like my space. Trust me I can hear you from here. Lots of reasons to keep your distance and work on body hygiene. But trust me, the masks do not work. *Occupational Safety & Hazard Association sited. The top American organization for safety. They regulate and educate asbestos workers, surgical rooms, you name it. I know, facts suck. They throw a wrench into the perfectly (seeming) packaged pill you are willingly swallowing. Facts make you have to form your OWN OPINION, instead of regurgitating someone else’s, and I know how uncomfortable that makes a lot of you. If your mask gives you security, by all means wear it. Just know it is a false sense of security and you shouldn’t shame anyone into partaking in such “conspiracies.” If select politicians stopped enforcing it, no one would continue this nonsense….

    • queen62

If this were true everybody in the hospital would be infected because the PPE that they are wearing doesn’t work

      • Chris

This person doesn’t understand how these masks work. They obviously don’t prevent everything from escaping but by absorbing the water droplets that carry the virus they reduce how far and how much of the virus spreads. They don’t protect the wearer much, just others around them which is why everyone needs to wear one.

They also said it was from an OSHA inspector as if we’re supposed to blindly believe it because they claim it’s from one.

Because of these people I had to buy face shields so I can go buy bigger t-shirts at Burlington because I have cancer and they turned off online ordering. That store is always packed.

If anyone needs face shields Sam’s club sells them $5 for a 4 pack in store and they don’t stupidly have “FACE SHIELD” printed on the top like a lot of the ones on Amazon.

Not necessary on a deals site post. If people are looking for masks they’ve made up their mind about them.

    • obler

Rubbish!! Your comment doesn’t include anything I could find on OSHA’s website. Check your facts before posting please.

    • klvnh

Except, if you look at countries around the world, the ones that are significantly reducing their infection numbers are where mask wearing is strictly enforced and followed. And then you have countries like the US and Brazil where the leaders are in denial with skyrocketing numbers. Quote your copypasta all day long, but real world effects of proper mask wearing speaks volumes. If we want our country to reopen, proper mask wearing will be part of that.

    • Nkw

This is a hoax making the rounds on social media. It has been debunked. Hip2save please remove the spread of misinformation.

      • Aunt Jenny

Your right this comment needs to be deleted. Its is a copied pasted supposed truth from someone at OSHA about wearing a mask making the rounds.

    • rachael-0

Wow!! Amazing presentation! Automatically my best friend!👏👏👏 I am a RN and have disliked the mask business from day one!

    • Sue

Did you see them use different types of masks to blow out birthday candles? Your logic here does not make sense. Any layer between my mouth and nose is one more obstacle the virus has to travel through. I’ll keep wearing a mask. Even though I have only been in public a few times since March. Yes, I said March. I have 6 kids and very little family that could take care of my children if something happened to me or my husband. I love the extra time with my kids. I’m not sending them back to school in August! Distance learning all the way for us. Since the recent rise in cases in my state (becsuse there are a bunch of idiots out there) I’m going into complete lock down again with my family. Fridge/ freezer is stocked for 8 people for 2 possible 3 weeks if we stretch it. Lysol my mail, we can’t get sick canoeing, hiking, swimming in our pool, bike riding, sprinkler, working in our vegetable garden, making jelly from our berries, playing on our swing, cleaning out the basement, bonusroom, garage, and barn. You can go out get sick etc… I could careless if you don’t wear a mask. I enjoy the extra time with my family. It just seems you should try to prove people wrong by doing what they ask of you rather than make people worry. Wearing a mask may not fit into your logic but to others it does, maybe try and help make other people feel as comfortable as possible in an awkward situation. Masks don’t hurt people. I feel that the people that are stupid enough to go to covid parties, not wash their hands and wear a mask, it’s just survival of the smartest. Darwin’s theory is doing a purge. So go ahead and not wear a mask go out like everything is fine, we could use a good purge. Also keep it up, the extra time with my kids is Amazing and such a gift!

    • Monica M

Last time I checked it took more brains to get into medical school and many years of education to complete it compared to working with or for OSHA. This OSHA crap has been fact checked and it’s bologna.

  12. Evie

Well, people should still social distance! As far as possible! If I hear someone cough, I run in the other direction. Any mask is better than none!
If you are a corporation it is never price gouging! The media showed people getting arrested for selling them at lower prices than what I am seeing.
The prices are going up everywhere on everything!

  13. Allison

I bought the 5pk at Walmart and my son and I are going to color them with Sharpies. I might spray some alcohol on the designs we make to make them look tie dyed.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      What a cool idea!

  14. MamaBug

I bought this 50 pack. They run a little big (after machine washing and drying) and are not the most comfortable mask. I feel like the elastic is too thick and rubs behind my ears. None the less, at this price it is handy to have them. We put some in each vehicle, in work bags, and hung a few up at home to use. We all have masks we prefer to wear (softer, better fitting, prettier, etc.) but these are okay in a pinch and I won’t feel bad if they get lost. I do plan to let the kids tie dye a few of them. I may dye some in school colors or use my vinyl machine to add something to them. If these are your ONLY masks, I’d skip them. There are more comfortable options for a little bit more per mask.

  15. Mendy

I found these at Walmart for $7.50 for a five pack, available in black or white.

  16. Sandy Mitchell

Our you could simply wear underwear on your head.
