thank you for this! I had been wanting to try it, then I completely forgot all about it. this is such an excellent deal and filler item !

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! We’re glad you’ll be able to try it, Jill!

  2. Kim

My son fell off the bed and knocked a few teeth out. We took him to the hospital and I had his blood all down my shirt. Came home a few hours later and put this all over my shirt and tossed it in the washer the next day. No stains at all!

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

What a great review! Thanks for sharing, Kim!

  3. Candace

Has anyone ever tried this on a chocolate stained shirt? I have been unsuccessful on this stain and I wonder if this would do the trick.

    • Marester

I haven’t tried this yet…though I worked at a grocery store pt for years and people purchased this all the time. By I would say for $.84…worth a try for sure!

    • kim

I’m not sure how well this product works once the stained clothes have been washed and dried. It would get out Chocolate if you get the stain and have put this on the stain within a few hours. If I use this, I always let the clothes sit for a day before I toss it in the washer.

  4. Denise

I use this to make homemade laundry soap

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Denise, this is one of the best ingredients for homemade laundry soap. We’re glad you use it!

    • rachyb

Me too!! I bought 6 bars. That’s enough for the whole year!

      • aliciafrenchowens

Can you please give me your recipe? I want to try it! Thanks

        • Pam

I’ve made my own laundry detergent for years! I grate 2 bars of the Fels Naptha and 2 bars of Zote in a food processor. Mix it with 2 boxes of Arm & Hammer washing soda and 2 boxes of 20 Mule Team Borax. You can add essential oil if you like. I use lemon (25-30 drops). Store in an airtight container. I use a powdered detergent scoop per regular load. I have an HE front loading washer and it works fine. Hope this helps!

I bought the Nellie laundry powder and it doesn’t seem to be doing a good job. Does anyone know if this is better than that or would this be a good booster for Nellie powder to really get the clothes cleaned. Thanks in advance. 🌸

  6. JANET MOYER

When exposed to poison ivy I use Fels Naptha in the shower, cleans the oils off your skin. Learned this from my parents.

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Janet, thank you for the great tip! Parents are the best at giving us advice – no matter what age we are!

  7. Bonnie

Can Amazon prime members buy this, without subscribing and spending 25.00 on qualifying items?

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Yes they can, Bonnie! I just tried and the one-time purchase price for an Amazon Prime member is 88¢. Thanks for asking!

  8. Allison

My son plays baseball and our coach gave us a bar of this…let me tell you. I used this on his white jersey & white pants- I do use a brush because he literally gets so dirty. This stuff is amazing! Already bought a back up.

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

How absolutely great that the coach gave you a bar! He/she really looks out for the team 😉 Thanks for the comment!

    • lynnleco

This was all I used with my sons white baseball pants. Cleans them well every time but especially when you can soak till the next day!

  9. alyson

I love this stuff. It takes everything out. An essential for every sports parent, for sure. The deal isn’t as great as we are led to believe. My local grocery store and even Walmart sell it for under $1 on a daily basis. It look like Amazon marked up to promote a savings. Bottom line is you won’t be sorry that you bought it but you don’t have to stock up because of the ‘amazing’ discount.

  10. diane

Best laundry item ever. I could not live without it! As others have stated, it works best if you can rub the stain to create a “paste” and let it soak overnight.

  11. Pat

I am a Letter Carrier and I use this on my uniform shirts to remove ink stains. It is wonderful.

  12. car men

    SUCH HELPFUL COMMENTS! :). Thanks.

  13. benji84

normally $1.99 on amazon, .97 at walmart. Anyone notice Amazon prices are getting higher?

  14. evelynlo96

I’m gonna give this a try. With 2 toddlers it’s going to be helpful I’m sure.

  15. Chenpei

I can’t find the deal in Amazon smile. It’s $5.34….

  16. Tara

Would this get out laundry detergent /fabric softener stains that are on clothes?

  17. Pearl

This is the best stain removing soap ever! So far tried it on bloodstain, collar stain, white socks which started looking beige 🙂
Will try on a curry stain on a white shirt and will let you know. Someone commented that soaking improves the results and it sure does! 🙂

    • sharon omachel

I don’t know about the other stains, but hydrogen peroxide works like a bomb on blood stains. Have used it many times on blood stain clothing.

  18. Alyssa Barnes

This works so well to get oil and breastmilk stains out!

  19. Janice

This is a personal question, but will it get rid of the smell of bad genitals?
