The face masks that they sell are my 4 and 6 year olds’ favorites by far. They are smaller than most other child masks so no slipping down and the elastics are softer.

Oh good! Thanks for letting us know they have been a favorite!

    • Aliza

I second that. I stockpiled these 😉 bc they work well for my kids ranging from age 3 through 9!

I have a suggestion for an article. How about ways to get kids to wear face masks? I have a 3 year old that will not wear one. We don’t take him grocery shopping, etc but still have times he should be wearing a mask.

This clearly won’t work for all if not in a peer environment, but I can say that peer pressure worked for my 3 year old 😉 She did not wear one, didn’t refuse but would pull it off, until she started back at preschool. She wore it without issue on day 1; think she was just excited to be back. Teacher told me second day she didn’t want to wear it, and the teacher said but Person X, who is my kid’s close friend, is wearing his and that did the trick. Haven’t heard about any issues since then 🙂 Peer pressure clearly starts early and at least this was positive peer pressure 😛

Thanks so much for the suggestion! I’ll be sure to pass this along to the team.

My 2.5 year old daughter does much better with the kind of masks that tie behind her head than the elastic ones that go around her ears. Not sure if you’ve tried those kind, yet. Solidarity! It’s challenging to get the little ones to keep their masks on. 🙂

I had my kids wear masks while doing some of their favorite activities like tv and tablet time. They didn’t seem to mind as much because they were distracted. Then I increased the amount of time they would wear them. I started with a few minutes, and now they can do several hours.

I tried daily for 3 or 4 months to get my 2.5 yr old to wear one-we are in Chicago, so it was mask or don’t go anywhere. She stated she “couldnt sing as loud, couldnt talk, Elsa doesnt wear one, and she isnt sick.” Then one day all of a sudden I jokingly asked if she wanted to wear one to aldi, and it clicked- she insisted we go shopping! She is now “brave” and wears one with no issue! Hope you have same luck! I wish disney, Nick jr., etc would release some commercials of characters in masks!

My 4 year old started wearing his when he saw his 6 year old sister wear hers. I second that they need to see other kids their age (Or idol) doing it. Good luck and be sure he will wear it in time just be patient..

Does the long term affects of not breathing fresh air, I guess I’d say breathing used dirty air bother anyone?
I can do it but I hate this for my kids:(

  3. Nichole

Is there a code cause when I check out it doesn’t take the extra % off

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi, Nichole! There is no code. The prices already reflect the discount.
