just so people are aware — a quick googling confirmed that all paper plates are compostable. they are paper. even wax-coated paper items (like Dixie cups) can easily compost. and even paper items with food waste like cardboard pizza boxes and used food plates can compost just fine. thick or thin plates are both good to compost.
these look like good quality thickness — you can buy these plates if you like the deal, but you don’t need to buy special plates for composting.
poly-coated plates or styrofoam, of course, cannot compost or recycle.
