When is the “norm” to decorate for Christmas? Is the 1st of November too soon? My Hubby thinks so, and says anytime after Thanksgiving is good… But I feel a month +/- isn’t enough 😂 What do you guys think? When does everyone else put up their Christmas decor?
After this crazy 2020 i told my husband im putting ours up on nov 1st. Nothing has gone right this year so I at least wanna enjoy my tree a little extra time. Lol.
Typically in my family our tradition is to put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving but I personally like putting it up earlier than that. This year especially I’ll probably put it up early because this year has been super depressing with everything that’s been going on. I’m sure everyone needs a little extra Christmas joy at this point
Whenever you want is exactly the right time.😊 Growing up, we always did the day after Thanksgiving, and I continued that for a few years once I was gone. But now, the first week of November, or whenever I get Halloween stuff taken down, is perfect.🧡 I have so much Christmas stuff anyway, it’ll take a while to get it all up & seems like a waste just to have it up a month. Heck I have a flocked tree, and last year (this year I guess 🤔), I took the decorations off after Christmas & left the tree up thru Valentine’s Day.😍 Still winter right?!
There’s nothing normal on year 2020 anymore! I’m putting my Christmas tree up next week, I would of done it sooner but I was too busy decorating for Halloween outside. Crazy year crazy house, why not!?
Yes!! “Crazy year, crazy house! Why not!?” I love it! 😍
We normally put ours up on November 1st but my 10 year old requested a new tree for her room this year so I picked one up today and hers went up today :).
That’s so cute, I love that! We have little trees we put up in the kitchen and our bedroom and put our big tree in our living room. We have a fireplace in our kitchen and it makes it really cozy with the Christmas tree in there.
I love how many early decorators there are on here! I feel like day after Halloween is fair game!!! Or like someone else said, whenever you feel like it, is the right time 😄. And yes, 2020 calls for some extra holiday cheer!! 🎄 My girls found our elves tucked in the back of my closet a week ago, so Christmas had no choice but to come a little early around here 😉
I decided I was just gonna quit decorating for Thanksgiving. Usually I can’t wait for Fall decorations so that starts sometime is the end of August and then I want to start decorating with Halloween probably the end of September and I used to put Fall back after I would take Halloween back down but I am just now going to start decorating for Christmas after I take Halloween down. Why not?
Anytime after Halloween this year. 2020 has been bonkers. I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving, but things are definitely going up earlier this year. I’m basically waiting on the Prime Day deals to see what if anything I can get on sale.
Does anyone know when the grinch pillow plush is supposed to be out? I literally can’t find it
