As just one idea, you can score this Crock-Pot 4.5-Quart Lift & Serve Programmable Slow Cooker for only $19.77 (regularly $26.94).

This programmable slow cooker holds 4.5-quarts and conveniently serves 5 or more people. The best part? It has a durable hinged lid so you don’t have to find a place to set it while serving. Love that! It also has four pre-programmed settings and automatically switches to the warm setting after cooking is complete. Even better, the stoneware and hinged lid are dishwasher-safe.

Undecided? Here is what users have to say…

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter but after she seemed to really like it I purchased one for myself. What I like about it is that it’s programmable with having an automatic shut-off after cook time completion – great safety feature. The other feature that stood out to me was the hinged cover so you don’t need to find a place to set the cover when dishing up the food on your plate.

Bought it for a gift. She LOVES IT! And why did I buy it as a gift? Because I own one myself and use it a couple of times a week. It’s an amazing crock at a great price, especially for a crock with a timer.

I have this crock pot and am not a fan. Kitchen safety 101: open lids away from you so you won’t get burned by rising steam. The hinged lid on this pot means you can’t do this, and your wrist is exposed to the steam and built up moisture when you lift the lid. Also, the rubber seal seems to collect moisture, which drips when you open it. It’s very easy to get burned if you forget to use an oven mitt! The regular lid that sits on top is much safer.

Oh darn! Thanks so much for letting us know how it has been working for you. Sorry to hear there have been issues with the lid.
