No coupon for me- still a great price!
Thanks, Mirela! It seems to be gone now.
genuine, non-snarky question: why are these so cheap? my go-to at-home dye is Clairol Nice n’ Easy. Is Colorsilk on par with Nice n’ Easy? Also, I get the black, so it’s practically foolproof to dye my hair at home (i.e., I don’t have to worry about whether a color is too brassy, etc) Thanks!
I think when you use the darker colors, it doesn’t matter much. I haven’t tried ColorSilk in years but I seem to remember it being runny and drying my hair out. My go-to hair colors are Garnier Olia Platinum Darkest Brown (one of the prettiest darkest browns that I have ever found plus great gray coverage and lasts for weeks) and the new Revlon Total Color (it’s a vegan formula and has amazing coverage; also lasts for awhile. The only con is that it REALLY dyes your skin. I use 30 Darkest Brown). Both work well with my hair, smooth the cuticle, add a lot of shine, and as they fade don’t turn red or brassy. I actually like them better than the way more expensive Madison Reed dye.
Thanks for this advice! I am going to try all these suggestions for my dark hair as I am a slow learner and have had little success coloring my hair both at salons and home. I keep getting that old man dyed hair look if that makes sense.
I’ve always wondered as well, but I’ve used it several times before and they’re just a no frills hair dye (you only get a teeny package of perfumey conditioner with it). My hair always feels awful with any home dye – I just deep condition afterwards – so I don’t know if this one is any better or worse than others. But I’ve never lost my hair, so there’s that! 😂

Thanks for the helpful comment! Good to know!
My color (dark blonde) was 3 boxes for $8 something but each box was $2 something on S&S so I bought 3 boxes S&S and it was only $7 something! 🙂
Nice score, CJ!

How do you know if your options qualify for 3 for 2 if you do subscribe and save?
In reply to Lel, it give you an order simmary before you approve the purchase .
I don’t think it works if I select different shades for subscribe and save. I was able to do it for regular order though.
I like Revlon ColorSilk and have been using it for years (dark blonde) and the formula is not runny (really is a gel). I have really long hair but just color the roots for some greys. I like that it’s ammonia free and inexpensive. I stock up usually at Walgreens when it goes on sale 2/$3 or 2/$4.
This item does not qualify for free shipping with subscribe and save. Only free shipping on orders of $25 or more when I tried it.
Thanks, Robin! I’m seeing that now as well.
