Anyone know of any Switch deals or upcoming deals for “Black Friday?” Kiddos have been asking for one but hoping there are upcoming holiday deals to be had.

Don’t anticipate they will go on sale. They haven’t and it’s also not their style. They are also high demand. Best bet might be a bundle set at Costco

the last couple of Christmas Target had $5 off these nintendo memberships. That’s what I’ve been waiting for. I can’t find anything in bestbuy to spend a reward/gift card on. Hoping for target’s deal again.

    • Justlucky18

I highly doubt it. It is too high in demand for them to sell for less than retail or give an promotions on it. I would snag a bundle deal if at all possible.

I’m not all that familiar with switch, can my son just play these games on the website if we purchase this? Or does he have to have a Switch to use it?

    • Q

The Nintendo Online membership is used for online play functionality on the Nintendo Switch. You need a Switch and online compatible games to use it. HTH

I would love for someone to explain to me how this works if you know 🙂 I recently purchased a Switch for my daughter for Christmas. Will she need this? What can she do with it? Be specific. I am old!

    • Jessica

There are a bunch of online compatible games. For example, we have Mario Tennis which works great but with online we can play against random people. It makes it more fun 🙂 You Can also play mini games and other online only things. Mario 35 is huge right now and it’s definitely worth the 20 alone to play that. How old is your daughter? My son is 6 and likes playing online with his cousin 🙂

    • PrincessMom

You don’t need it, it’s just for online stuff. You can play it with regular games.

    • Emilytwinmom

We use the online functionality constantly with our switches (multiple adults, grown kids and tweens in the fam). There are game apps within the system online, like NES and SNES for example, where you can play entire games without paying any more than the annual membership fee. I personally live being able to sit down and play the original old school 1990’s nintendo games, and my kids love them!

      • Cassie

Yay! So if we buy the membership we can access old Mario games? Can you give me examples? I would love to know if I could play super Mario brothers 1-3. Those were my faves growing up.

Can you use this for a renewal?

    • Momof7

You should be able to off you cancel the current one then use this.

We bought the switch Tetris game and there was a free 1 year membership inside!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Nice score! Thanks for the heads up on your find!

Can I purchase this now and save it for a Christmas gift or does the 12 months start when you purchase it?

    • Mandi

no you will have to activate it. Then it starts

    • Cat0289

That was my question too. My son’s existing membership goes to Christmas. I hate to purchase early. Rather activate later.
