I love this thermometer! I scooped it up immediately when Collin texted me a deal for it on Amazon – it was too good to pass up! A thermometer is something I never really think about until one of my kiddos are sick and need one. Taking their temperature has ALWAYS been such a pain and really just an awful experience. Especially my youngest, when she’s not feeling well, a traditional thermometer always makes her gag, or I can’t get an accurate reading any other way and it’s an awful experience for everyone involved.
I love this one because it INSTANTLY gives you readings and you don’t even need to touch them to get an accurate temperature. I honestly don’t know how I’ve lived 10 years being a mom without it! Plus, my kids actually WANT to take their temperature now because they’re so amazed by this thing. LOL Which is crazy, because they’ve always hated doing it. That said, I had to hide it from them because now they think it’s a toy. — Hip Sidekick, Sara

Bought this last couple of weeks ago and it is horrible! Trying to return it! The seller makes you go through all kinds of steps before he will consider a refund!
Thank you for this comment. I will wait for something better. I’m in the market for a new thermometer. All our touch thermometers are inaccurate.
I agree I also got it the last time it was posted and it’s garbage!!!!
Agreed. Mine didn’t work and was told to send photos
Gone
Hi there! This deal still works for me now as I click through if you wanted try again. If still having issues, be sure to check once more in a different browser. Hoping that helps!
You’re lucky! Don’t buy it….
I totally agree! I purchased it and it is a price of junk.
I bought this last time as well and it seems way off & inaccurate. Tried to return it and the seller offered me $3 discount. I will take that and just keep it and avoid the hassle of returning back to China. Probably will cost more to ship it back.
I agree! The thermometer is awful…none of my family’s temperature was above 97 degrees!
Oh darn! Sorry to hear that. Thanks so much for the honest feedback, Kristal.
Oh no! I just ordered it! Isn’t it easy to return through amazon?
Not shipped or sold by amazon. And comes from china
Just go back in and cancel your order.
I ordered it right away then read the comments on here and cancelled immediately lol doesn’t seem worth it.
Same!
Same! Gotta love the comments section lol 🙂
We use this thermometer at work, and I don’t trust it. All the kids get readings of 94, 96, or 97.something. If your temp is 94 you would be showing signs of hypothermia. It’s pretty worthless because when they actually feel warm and have symptoms it will say something like 98.
Do NOT buy! Total junk….came broken.
I bought this last time it was posted here. It really is a piece of junk! The reading are so inaccurate, it’s like one of those, if it seems to good to be true it is. I’m pretty sure the good infrared technology cost more then $10. And it’s sad how the seller marks it up to $45 🙄 and then discounts it. That’s probably the only reason people are buying it, because they think it’s such a good deal (at least that’s why I bought it 🤷🏽♀️) Anyways BUYER BEWARE!
DON”T BUY IT! It is junk and a huge hassle to try to return. It always reads 94 degrees.
Bummer! Thanks so much for your review, Melanie.
I’ve had bad experiences with things purchased on Amazon. I only stick to ship and sold by Amazon and make sure that it is an item I can return. Amazon also limits the amount of negative reviews. I had my reviews not accepted by Amazon on 3 separate occasions. It’s odd to have the majority on this post to have a bad experience/review, but on Amazon it has 4 stars.
I was just going to say I hope you are all reviewing this and giving a negative reviews said the stars will go down. Perhaps that’s not possible someone should reach out to Amazon and complain.
I ordered this the last time as well. There were some really good reviews here then as well as on Amazon so it’s disappointing that so many have negative reviews this time around. I haven’t been ill and have a low body temperature normally, so when it read in the area of 97.7, I didn’t really question it. :-/ Also, I guess I’ve spent $10 in worse ways that this! LOL. Any positive reviewers out there?
Hi there! I do have this thermometer. I haven’t had any readings below 97.1. I have had some 98.1 readings. I did read in the instructions to aim and measure 1-3 centimeters away from the forehead. Hope this is helpful!
So I read on Harvard’s medical blog that the average human temp is falling, so readings of 97 are not so crazy. They think the new normal temp might be closer to 97.5. I always read low myself when I take my temp, whether oral or temporal. Anyway, food for thought: https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/time-to-redefine-normal-body-temperature-2020031319173
But 97.1 isn’t a normal read. My temp on any other device used was 98.6. This one never reaches 98.6
We have naturally low body temps so we didn’t question 96 or 97 degrees. It’s probably reads a little on the low side. Just figured that different thermometers read a little differently so it’s good to have a couple to compare. I guess you have to hold it just right to get a good reading too. I thought it wasn’t bad for the price.
I also ordered it last time it was $9.99 and I
agree with the other comments. Its GARBAGE. Inaccurate readings. But to anyone trying to return theirs–you don’t have to deal with the third party seller. Just return directly via Amazon on their site. Super easy. I got my refund even before they received the package.
It’s terrible junk that wouldn’t even turn on and the seller wouldn’t refund me and I had to get Amazon involved.
My temp with this read 53 lol!!!!
Don’t trust all Amazon’s positive reviews. I get email & Facebook offers to purchase different products & give 5 star reviews to get fully reimbursed. I’ve done it a couple dozen times for mostly Chinese products. Most items are pretty trashy (biggest regret was the expensive Pokémon egg that doesn’t even work properly) but I still end up giving them 5 star reviews to get a reimbursement. However, the chew bracelet for my autistic & disabled daughter was pretty decent (my daughter likes to stare at it hours at a time & chews on it when in pain…although she still bites herself plenty too) and the baby hair clipper was pretty good (I even use it to trim my husband’s hair & on my 6 kids). Maybe I should go back & edit some of my reviews after being reimbursed to what I honestly think. Hmm….never thought of doing that.
Yes I’m very done with buying from non amazon sellers. Because many Chinese companies keep emailing me to try to send me their products in return for good reviews and it’s complete garbage products.
Dang I ordered it earlier based on the rating on Amazon but after reading all of your comments above I tried to cancel my order. unfortunately I can’t cancel my order via Amazon because it’s sold by a third-party. I even spoke to Amazon and they can’t do anything but send the seller an email. Luckily it’s only $10 but hopefully they will cancel it…
They did in fact cancel my order. Phew.
Well, I ordered it, then read the comments. I just cancelled it! Thanks for the heads up!
I bought this last time and used it on my daughter, it said she was at 95.6. I used our trusty thermometer and she was at 99.8. I would not buy or trust it! We could have missed a fever.
I ordered this thermometer before I read the reviews…I just canceled the order. Thank you Thank you!
I ordered it last time and it was DOA. Seller would not respond. Amazon refunded my money.
Been looking for one of these, is there a kind that anyone does recommend?
Read the directions and use behind the ear.
Works perfectly and is accurate
I bought 3 of these. I kept one, and gave the other two away. I’m not sure if it’s accurate to the tenth of the degree, but I do know that when my husband had an infection due to recent dental work, it did register in the red zone as running a fever. I’m happy with mine. It beats sharing an oral thermometer!
MIne works! Had to read the manual to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Worked fine after that!
I was just coming here to see if anyone else had this issue! Mine is in Celsius and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change it to Fahrenheit. Would you care to explain it to me please? Thank you 🙂
I think if you hold in the set button it can switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit. You may have to push the plus or minus button after you hit the set button and it starts flashing.
According to this thermometer everyone in my family are vampires.
