This book brings back all the memories from childhood. I’m an ’80s baby, and I remember this book from when I was a child. It is just as great the 500th tome as it is the first! You will get SO many laughs and all the snuggles reading this amazing story with Grover as your guide.
This is a fun book! My one and three-year-old think it’s hilarious to keep turning the pages, getting closer to the monster at the end that Grover is so afraid of. It’s a Little Golden Book, so it’s a nice size to take along places and sure to get some laughs.

This was one of my favorite books as a kid in the early ’80s, and I recently learned it was one of my husband’s favorites as a child too. I’m glad to know it’s still around!
I read it to my kids and day care kids in the early 80’s! I’d say this book has staying power!
A family favorite
This has been around a very long time. My 3 girls loved this book and now I have shared this book with my 11 grandkids. So glad it is still being read

I love this book. I have given it to my brothers girls and now I am grabbing one for my sister’s new little one. My Dad used to read it to us in silly voices and make us all laugh. Great memories!
