Hi, the one showing here has the tv volume control but when you go to the websites listed it’s not for that one. I’m looking for one with the tv volume control option and on sale 😊

    • acarol

They posted a deal a few weeks ago that had the volume control one for $35. Not sure if it’s still active though.

    • Robert

Lol, it cost $30 for that remote with the volume on it, that’s crazy. You can get the whole set up for $10 more. I dont mean target charges that price, I just mean in general. That’s the going price. $18 for a firestick is amazing. I’m able to watch anything, anytime I want after spending about 30 minutes programming it. I pay $7 a month and I have every cable tv channel that you can think of, I can watch any movie, even theater movies, anytime, and any tv show, commercial free. $18 is a steal after years over being drilled by Directv and xfinity for $100+ a month

      • Ka Rena

Which service are you using for $7 a month?

  2. Hunterwoody

Would this allow me to watch Apple TV (that free thing I got when I bought my phone).

    • jon-0

      No

    • Ksdflowers

Yes, my Apple TV app works just fine on my Fire TV Stick.

  3. Hunterwoody

Also does this fire stick need to be plugged in to a power source? Or is it just during set up. My tv has all the wires hidden behind a wall. I don’t want an extension cord running up my mantle 😂

    • Happy Aunt

No, just needs to plug in to the TV. I love my fire stick!

    • Jen S

Yes it needs to be plugged in to work.

    • Kayti

      Needs to be plugged in

    • Robert

You can plug it’s power wire into the usb on your tv if it has one. It may have a message that pops up. Telling you that it’s not a good idea or that something may not work right, but I’ve had mine hooked up that way for years and it works all the same.

  4. Jackie

What’s the difference between the two fire sticks ($17.99 & $27.99)?

    • Elena

One controls your TV (volume and turning it off and on). The other doesn’t.

    • Arlen

the 27.99 can be used as your only remote. When you do set up you connect it to sound so your not looking for the other remote later. And if you go for the 4K one (29.99) that’s just suppose to be a better image for High Def movies. It also can be used as the main remote. The cheaper one you will still need your old remote to control sound.

  5. MarMar

I’m confused… I know nothing about this but am looking to buy as a gift. So, the one pictured on hip2save is NOT the same one being advertised?

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hey MarMar, the remotes are almost identical in appearance. The big difference is that the new lite remote does not have the TV controls (power, volume). I did update the pics above to accurately show which remote it is.

I have heard folks say that the Firestick needs to be broke ..ie they add channels or whatever is that the case with this
