I have been waiting for this to go back on sale. Got the lavender one for my daughter. Thank you!!
I bought one of these for my (then 14 year old) daughter 2 years ago and it was a huge hit. I like to get 6 pack bundles of the film at walmart for a good price. she has been known to use 3 or more photo packs when with her friends. I also got her some disney film and fancy decorated film. I guess with the pandemic there is less of opprortunities to use with friends, no parties, no gatherings, but I think this would still be a great gift. As a side note, I also bought a mini printer that uses the film so she can turn any photo into a little fujifilm instant. She uses the photos for decorations in her room with string lights and clothes pins. There are even a couple photos of me on there, and a bunch of our pets.
I had a similar experience. My daughter loved the Instax camera she got a couple years ago, but then for Christmas last year she got a little HP Sprocket printer. She can send any pic from her phone to the printer and print mini photos on the spot. She uses the printer much more now because she always has her phone with her to take pics, but doesn’t always want to carry around a camera. She likes to print off pics of friends & decorate with them. So if anyone is not quite sure they want a stand alone instant camera, I highly recommend the Sprocket as an alternative.
Thank you! Picked up the blue and lavender for my girls for Christmas!!
Last year these went even lower, I got one for closer to $25-$30, not from Walmart though. I’m hoping they go down lower again.
I hope so too! I can’t decide if I want to wait or not as this type of camera is on my girls’ wish lists. Hope Hip2Save will keep an eye out and let us know if there’s an even better deal!
Was it the full bundle? [Just curious what to keep my eye out for!]
what is the difference between this one and the 11?
On YouTube reviews it looks like the 11 is a lot better quality. I’m torn between a good price and wanting slightly better quality pictures. They’re for my 7 year old daughter so really should I care about the quality?
At that age, probably not but it depends on the kid. I bought one for my 9 year old and she LOVED it and doesn’t care much about the quality of the pictures. She also dropped it at the zoo and unfortunately it broke where the back closes over the film so it won’t stay closed. I’m trying to decide whether to get her a new one this year or a printer for phone pics like the other reader suggested.
I got the 11 after reading reviews, the 11 is on sale at Kohls for bf for 69…comes with film but no case. I found a case on amazon for 8 and we dont really need all that extra stuff….
