Target offers so many ways to save money during the holidays!

Today, December 5th only, head to Target where they are offering a Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale on movies and games – available in-store and online. The freebie applies to the item of equal or lesser value – video games are excluded from this promotion.

Plus, you can score an even better deal when you stack this sale with the one-time-use Circle offer that is available through December 12th to score 10% off your entire purchase which is also valid in-store or online.

This is a great opportunity to cross any remaining movies or games off your shopping list while saving a nice chunk of change!

Here are a few deal ideas…

Total = $10.50
Less buy 2, get 1 free sale
Use the 10% off your entire purchase Circle offer
Final cost $6.30 total – as low as $2.10 each!

I’m not seeing the buy 2 get 1 on the board games.

    • Jamie

      December 5th ONLY.

      • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

        Get ready to save! 😉

  2. Jazz

    Hi,
Will spend $20 get $5 off on books stack with buy 2 books get 1 free offer?

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Great question, Jazz. Unfortunately the Spend $20 get $5 off promotion ends 12/5 as the Buy 2 Get 1 FREE promotion is released. They will not overlap. Thank you for asking!

      • Jazz

        Thanks!

  3. Clestina

Nearly all the $5 movies have been sold out during these last few B2G1 free so unlikely but worth a shot.

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

It’s always worth a try, Clestina! You’re right.

  4. devinyounghornbuckle

I haven’t read the fine print, but can you only use the 10% offer once? 🤔

    • Nicole (Hip Sidekick)

Hi devinyounghornbuckle, yes you are correct, that offer is only limited to one use per Circle account. Hope that helps!

  5. MJ

Will the buy 2 get one free on select Disney toys still be eligible on the 5th? It says expires on the 5th, but does that mean it’s still good until the end of business? Just trying to save my 10% coupon for the right day;) thanks!

  6. Kathy

I have gift cards this will be great for the childrens hospital gift collection I wanted to get stuff for.

  7. Mandy

This will be great for Toys for Tots etc…. I know this year they really need it.

  8. Sharron

    Great offer for gifts👍

  9. Shannon Stark

Does anyone see any books that are actually $1.50? I haven’t seen any

    • BargainFinderChick

I just looked under the 2-4 year old category and didn’t see but one book under $3.00. May just have to visit the store in person to double check.

  10. drmommyball

Does anyone know if I can buy 9 books and get 3 free for example? Or do the book and the movie deal both? Or is it a limit of 1 deal only? Thanks in advance.

    • jennykc

I know with the b2g1 they just did on movies, music and books for Black Friday you could do the deal multiple times (b6g2, etc.). My guess is it will work the same?

      • drmommyball

Thanks for the info. I hope it works the same 🙂

  11. Suzanne

I don’t see in the ad where it says books are included. The daily deal includes movies and games. The $5 off $20 book promo is good all week so it should work until Saturday Dec 5.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for pointing that out, Suzanne! Sorry for any confusion. The post has been updated.

  12. Mandy

Bought toys this morning … have to look up buy 2 get 1 free in toys . But the discount was not showing . I used there chat option and the guy was very quick and helped me . I ended up purchasing and he refunded the free item + tax to me. Also note, if you have a red card you get the 5% for using it and the additional 10% that the store is running.

  13. Ambrosia

I don’t see any of the 4.99 games online. Am I looking in the wrong place or are those prices only in store? Looking for board game deals to give to my students and there families for the holidays.

    • Kiki

I’m also wondering which games are $4.99?? Thx!

      • Beth

The Uno type card games are the least expensive around that $4.99 mark. Otherwise candy Land and the like are just under $8.

  14. Darla

I need HELP!!….board game and or books for family with 2 girls age 8 and 6
Girls are avid readers ((8 yo read Cam Jansen, etc). Would like to take advantage of this deal. Thanks

    • Shel

Spot It! is one of our family favorites! Young kids, teens, and adults all enjoy playing! Of course, Uno is a classic, and from what I understand, the Monopoly Deal card game only takes 15 minutes to play and is fun for all ages. (Planning to try that at Christmas!) We also like Phase 10 & Skipbo, but I can’t remember the starting age for those. Hope that helps 🙂

      • Shel

Sorry!, Battleship, and Clue are good, classic board games. As far as books… Nate the Great, the A to Z Mysteries by Ron Roy, Hank the Cowdog, and Amelia Bedelia were some of our favorites. We also enjoyed Meghan Rose books by Lori Z. Scott; they’re similar to Junior B. Jones, but not so bratty 🙂 The Capital Mysteries by Ron Roy are also great; the girls may need to be a bit older, but they’re definitely worth keeping in mind. 😊
