Anybody have these???
Yes, I’ve bought these exact items in all the sizes from Zulily and also Amazon earlier this year as we started staying home and making all meals at home — for higher prices ($9-12+). We love them. I use them for everything including freezing leftover stock/broth, leftover food in portions (veggies, shredded bbq chicken or pork, pasta etc). I do eventually transfer items to ziploc bags after the cubes have formed, but not always quickly so sometimes food does end up “stored” in the trays for awhile! I think this is a good price. Hope this helps.
These look very cool. Anyone have ever used them
I have ice trays with the silicone cover that I got from the Container Store a while ago. I love them because I freeze extra tomato paste, heavy cream – anything that I don’t use a lot of in a recipe… and then pop them out into other glass containers for easy 1TBS serving sizes.
Awesome! Thank you, Mary!
Too bad these aren’t for storage, they are just to freeze into the shape then you have to repackage into something else for long term storage
I’m not seeing that. The description says they are for storage and the lids prevent freezer burn.
The descriptions says it’s for STORAGE: From sauces to leftovers, this storage container offers a convenient option to save unused food featuring a silicone lid that helps eliminate freezer burn and expands when freezing.
You can leave your items in the trays for awhile, but I find I use so frequently that it is actually easier to transfer to ziploc after the cubes form just so I can clean and reuse to make more cubes of other items (or more of the same, such as with chicken stock). I’m not always quick about that transfer, so I have stored in the trays for weeks at a time, and that works just fine. I wouldn’t leave stuff in them for too many months though because it isn’t super airtight.
I’m thinking the one and two cup ones would be great for freezing homemade chicken broth!
I’m thinking I agree, AJ!
I use the small size for it too, for when you just want to maybe add a bit of broth to a recipe (when making rice etc)
There is also a promotion of $15 American Express rewards For $75 or more purchases in case you spend more.
My problem with Zulily is it takes forever to get most items!! It has to ship to them and then they ship!
You should have stated that the free shipping for 3 items was good for 1 day only not a limited time.
I have been watching this product for a while and haven’t ordered because of the price. Does anyone have experience with this product? The Zulily item looks promising because of the price.
