Get a custom t-shirt tailored just for you from Amazon!

Do you struggle to find a shirt with the perfect fit? Amazon has launched a new service called Made For You, which allows shoppers to order custom clothing tailored for their exact measurements. While the company says it eventually wants to expand its selection to offer more products based on customer feedback, the service is currently limited to T-shirts only.

using Amazon app to create custom T-shirt

To order a Made for You T-shirt, users create a body double with either a masculine or feminine silhouette. Then, they work their way through customizing every aspect of their T-shirt, selecting from the following options:

  • Fabric – mediumweight 100% Pima cotton or lightweight 56% Pima cotton, 38% Modal and 6% Elastane tri-blend
  • Color – eight solid color options
  • Length – short, medium, or long
  • Fit – slim, classic, or relaxed
  • Neckline – crewneck or V-neck
  • Label – customize your shirt’s neckline tag with your name (up to 9 characters)

Finally, customers provide their measurements by using the Amazon app to upload two photos of themselves. While uploaded photos are automatically deleted after being used to determine a customer’s measurements, measurement data will be securely stored until customers delete it by tapping the profile icon at the top left of the Made for You home page.

When finished, users can see a preview of the T-shirt they created on their virtual body double before placing their order.

While custom-made clothing is usually a luxury item, this service is fairly affordable at just $25 per t-shirt. If you’re someone who struggles to find the perfect fit when shopping off the rack, you may enjoy the experience of ordering something custom made just for you!

Uggh the directions for the photos say wear form fitting clothing. I don’t own any. I guess trying this is out. 🙁

  2. Emily

This actually seems like a pretty good deal at $25.

Yes! Especially for white tees. It’s hard to fit good fitting tees. I like long sleeves and it is hard to find one that is not baggy.
My sister has to wear long sleeves for work all year round so I would buy them for gifts!

Possibly. Everyone has such a different body type. I prefer v neck, but not too low. It was much harder to hide cleavage before I lost some weight.

Yes! I love v-necks but with a larger chest and a size 8 waist it’s hard to find shirts that aren’t too revealing but have a nice slim-but-not-tight fit. When I purchase a larger size to fit my chest, the shirt is baggy and the v is too deep and reveals too much.

  5. Mellie

No because the clothes that Amazon makes are not made very well. Is there a section for thread quality?

      LoL

A custom made t shirt for $25.00. I’ll pass. If it had lettering or a design, maybe.

  7. Katie

I’d try it! Save me some time . It’s so hard to find a t shirt that fits me well

  8. Deanna

I’d rather this be for jeans/pants..

      Agreed

Absolutely would try it; $25 is a great deal for a custom tee. I just clicked through and probably would have ordered one if they offered other sleeve lengths besides just short and long. I prefer half sleeves (elbow length) which are so hard to find.

Me: Buys perfectly fitted overpriced shirt. Passes the time in pandemic isolation, testing out cherry danish recipes. 2 weeks later, tosses out shirt that’s too tight.

I don’t have a hard time finding tops that fit but I would love this for pants.
