Does anyone no much about solar panels? I’m wondering if I buy one will it be enough to plug my freezer into Incase the power ever goes out?
I’m not an expert, but most chest freezers require 300-500 Watts of power. None of the systems above would do it. Home Depot does have a 440 Watt system on sale for $450. All of these numbers are the maximum output and yours will vary depending on cloud cover, time of day, etc. Obviously, solar panels will only produce energy during daytime hours and unless you have a battery charging system, there would be no energy available at night.
Thank you! This is very helpful!
