More Valentine's Day

Kraft is celebrating Valentine’s Day with candied mac & cheese! 😱

Kraft Mac & Cheese is launching a limited-edition Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese for Valentine’s Day, and it’s very, very pink! The Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese is made with the same cheesy noodles we’ve come to expect from the iconic blue box, but it also includes a special candy flavoring packet that will give your macaroni and cheese a romantic (and potentially unsettling) bright pink hue.

The candy packet also adds “hints of sweet candy flavor” to your macaroni and cheese, a detail that leaves us with more questions than answers. Is this an entrée? Is it a dessert? Is it meant to be eaten, or just photographed in a heart-shaped bowl for social media? Regardless, this would definitely be a fun surprise for your kids or for a Valentine with an adventurous palate!

This memorable combination of pasta, cheese, and candy won’t be sold in stores, so the only way you’ll be able to try it is by entering to win some here. Lucky recipients of the Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese will receive a kit including one box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and one candy packet to make it pink and sweet.

The company will be giving away 1,000 of these prizes, and winners will have their Candy Kraft Mac & Cheese kits delivered by February 14. While that sounds like a lot of pink mac and cheese, we’re guessing that there will also be a lot of interest in this contest, so it’s probably a good idea to have a backup gift ready for your Valentine, just in case!

This DIY cupcake bouquet is both pretty and delicious!

    All that dye 😬

    • val

no dye all natural beets and a bunch of other fruits and veggies.

This grandmother would have a blast making it with my grands. I’m in for a good laugh and fun in the kitchen. Hoping to be one of the 1000

    Ehw! That’s just too much.

  3. AmandaJ

Lol! I love that even on their entry form Kraft admits that it is a little strange! Totally entered! Would never buy this (and luckily it isn’t a new product for sale) but what a fun little promo giveaway!

  4. Marni

Sounds disgusting! I’m IN! Should make my kids laugh, so, totally worth it. 🙂

  5. Jana

This reminds me of the pink peep oreos. Was all cute and until people starting commented that their kids were freaked out after, ummm, bathroom trips.

My daughter would LOVE this and then refuse to eat it because “it’s yucky.” We got unicorn Kraft once and she kept begging us to make it. Dad finally made it for her while I was at work one weekend and she said it was yucky and refused to eat it. We figure it’s because she only ever had homemade Mac and cheese before, she didn’t grow up on Kraft like we did 😂

      😂😂 too funny

    • Kathleen

Yes when you grow up on homemade food, not processed stuff, when you do eat the processed stuff it tastes like, well, processed food product instead of food lol

  7. jill

I have to admit, looking at that just looks like a bowl of raw ground beef ! hahaha!

    • JES

      That was my first thought!

      • Lori

        Me too lol

  8. msfrizzle

EEWWW gross. Can someone say Red Dye #40. NO THANKS

    • mariab

Except it’s not red dye, the color comes from beets.

  9. Mama2Nine

    How neat!

The “candy” flavor is what is throwing me off. I have made homemade green macaroni and cheese for a St. Patrick’s Day party before, but just added green food coloring to the water when I was boiling the pasta. There was no change in the taste, just the appearance. Not sure I could get over candy flavored macaroni and cheese.

  11. Sue

It’s a pretty pink but no thanks!

  12. Bren

My daughter would love to eat something pink on Valentine’s Day.

  13. Kat4312

This reminds me of when they tried to make ketchup in different colors lol some foods are not meant to be different colors. What’s the saying? “We eat with our eyes first” not sure I could get past the color!

    • Loudflower

I remember that well. I had purchased the green and it was all I had in the house to use in a meatloaf. Grossest thing ever. We just couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it. That was a short lived trend.

  14. TW

Even if it was free I just couldn’t do it. Moms who have had kids get sick after a red drink will understand!

  15. FSUGAL

This is not remotely appetizing whatsoever. Looks like a bowl full of yuckiness.

  16. lexiloowho

I entered! Too funny. My daughter would get a kick out of this. I am so glad they used NATURAL coloring. There are too many people who assumed otherwise posting false info.

  17. LChapman

    Just can’t do it… 🤢

  18. Allergymom

All of you who are commenting that the color is “all natural,” I’m wondering how you know that? I don’t see ingredient info anywhere but three of you have mentioned that so I feel like I’m missing something?

    • JES

It’s been on several different sites, and those articles say that the color comes from beets and carrots.

      • Juliee

JES thanks so much! I’ll Google it 😊

  19. Katie

The thought of candy flavored Mac and cheese made me gag a little.

  20. Laura Acker

If I win I’m thinking about pouring a package of Valentine m&m’s on top. Maybe also a scoop of Strawberry ice cream. lol jka
