I have been trying to declutter my house, but I did not feel comfortable disposing of paper with important or private information so I decided to purchase a Shredder. I decided to buy this one in 2013 and I still own it five years later. I have been able to shred paper (thin and some thick cardstock paper) as well as credit cards. I have only suffered through two paper jams. I was able to fix it and it continued working.

Great value for the money, especially when you need to protect your information. Feels sturdy but lightweight. It has two parts, the shredder on top and a plastic wastebasket on the bottom. Love that it is cross-cut. Looks professional. Small enough to place in a corner. A perfect shredder to get for your home. Can shred paper as well as thicker material such as credit cards. Has three buttons: auto, off, and reverse. I keep it plugged in but only turn it on when I need it. Can hold maybe 100 sheets of paper or less at a time but I would recommend emptying it out before it gets full.
