We live in NJ and its so sad my kids aren’t allowed to give Valentine’s to there friends at school this year…

    • Nichole

      Same here in Michigan

    • Alex

      That is very sad!

  2. Lesly

These are a good size to put in Easter eggs !

  3. Mama2Nine

Won’t arrive until end of February. 😔

My kids’ school aren’t allowing Valentine’s either 😕

    • Mama2Nine

My kids are not allowed to bring papers back and forth bc of covid, so no homework. But.. valentines are okay. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I live in a state and area where most believe it’s an “election virus”. 🙄 Our schools don’t care if anyone wears mask. Insane! And of course sports were never canceled even he we were out of school from beginning of October to End of January. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t understand why people are complaining about kids not being able to give out Valentine’s. There’s something a whole lot bigger going on in the world. Your kids will be fine not doing Valentine’s for 1 year 🙄 look at the bigger picture. They’re trying to keep kids from getting sick. To me it’s a no-brainer- my kids health>Valentine’s day but I guess not everyone has common sense.

it is okay to grieve about lost customs. i am 60 and recall my grade school valentines days with fondness. my kids enjoyed it, too. while i think not exchanging cards and candy is a wise idea this year, i would still be sad about it if i had littles again.

    • rebecca

where did anyone say their kids won’t be fine about this? do you think people are not allowed to be sad about things that are hard for them?
my kids and i have not hugged or even visited face to face with their grandparents in about a year now, and if my kids come to me and say they miss that, should i tell them “i don’t understand why you are complaining?” it is because ‘there is something a whole lot bigger going on in the world’ that i am observing all the safety protocols that i can, but that doesn’t mean i have to be happy about it. i feel bad that my kids have missed out on a whole lot, and i don’t feel it is wrong for me to grieve about that.
when my child grieves that she is sad she couldn’t go to swimming lessons for a whole year, should i tell her i guess she doesn’t have common sense?

A whole lot bigger…hmm. CDC came out with deaths for 2020, guess what…they’re nearly the same as the year before. Shut down the whole world for a bug that 99.67% recover from. Ridiculous.

Thanks Hip2Save! Our school is having a Valentines Day celebration and I am so grateful for that. Do you have any cute phrases or saying to go with the lollipop?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

How about “I’m a sucker for you” or “Valentine, you make my ❤ pop” or “How sweet it is to be friends with you”??? Any of those work for you?

      • Yessenia

Yes! I like “I’m a sucker for you”. Thank you.

  7. Matalier

My daughter’s school is allowing Valentine’s this year, but they had to be dropped off at school the last week of January so they’d have time for any germs to die. Strange times, but at least they’ll get so do some kind of traditional Valentine’s Day.
